The real important PGA news is, really, how in hell Billy Ho shot an 82 today

the rules have changed since covid was a problem. shit they changed the first week they instituted the rules. CDC has changed its policies as the world changed (or US realities changed). Heck sleazy isnt the only person who thinks what he said. the news has carried reports that 30% (i dont know but its high in my opinion and its not changing for the better). dont believe in and wont get the vaccine.

I think some lawyer would love to take a stab at litigation. I dont think anyone from here actually bet enough to make it worth while. I will sign up for a class action 🤣🤣🤣

Cmon mr. breeze! A new child and millions on the line. I’d do it. Can we still play golf when I’m in MD?

Golf is always on the table, and I’m buying at the 19th hole

I put the blame squarely on Rahm who could have easily been vaccinated a long time ago but did not.

The Euro does not follow the CDC directives. I do not know if Levy tested positive or close contact or if he wd voluntarily or forced. Either way PGA has to follow the CDC directives.

Really? Does anybody, company or organization “have” to follow CDC directives ? Directives ? or guidelines ? Is there some sort of enforcement branch of the CDC…you know with swat teams and black helicopters ? Rahm has already been exposed to pretty much everyone there all week long…Just let him play by himself with his caddie.

  • Getty33

I honestly had no idea Covid testing and the protocols associated with it still existed. Very sad that the PGA Tour is still playing that game. This will be a major media event seeing that the state of Ohio just lifted all COVID mandates on June 1st. What the hell is the PGA Tour even thinking?

It is the American government and thier laws and yes they can and will enforce it.

This is all hilarious. It’s a racket. Covid is a racket. The vaccine is a racket. And your life is probably a racket too

The entire society is a racket by that measure….

Do you mean corporations of different kind and certainly drug companies exploited the COVID issue to make money? You bet

Do you mean COVID is not dangerous?
3,735,771 worldwide died from it and them and their families beg to differ
Drop the US-centric vision…. the whole world didn’t get together to make someone look incompetent

And for heaven sake the flu…. don’t even get me started…. if we would wash our hands constantly, wear masks, practice social distancing, use hand sanitizer every year… we would always have low flu cases like this past winter

    Too simple?
    Too logical?

Maybe those families can take solace in the fact that the people in charge are making millions from their “honorable service” in managing the crisis.

Maybe Cuomo and Fauci will donate their profits from book deals and $10k/plate dinners.

    Wake up folks

He better test negative quickly US Open Week starts Mon June 14 and tourney starts Thursday June 17th

The PGA statement said Rahm will need to remain in isolation through Tue, June 15, so he can get out just in time for the US Open.

Thanks for the link, But really at this point none of that applies. The PGA can do what ever it wants it it not under any orders from a Federal Government agency to operate under strict directives by law or face fines or imprisonment. Let the Man play !

On the EURO Tour it happened multiple times. Alex Levy didn’t have symptoms but WD anyway from a EURO Tour event. To me the PGA’s statement smacks of semantics – if a golfer chooses to WD “out of an abundance of caution” they probably aren’t “counting” it. Which means there are way more than they’re copping to. JMHO.

Protocols have changed multiple times – for many months it was a fluid situation with things changing all the time as new information became available.

There were some tournaments where guys played as a single because they played with someone one day who popped a mid-tourney positive.

  • Baseballshark2019

That only applies during a national emergency. I actually don’t know of we are still under a declared emergency or if it ended yet. Im sure we are under one stll

    Anyway
    To the specific
This isn’t a team sport and the responsibility falls on the individual. He knew the protocols and the potential consequences and made a choice not to get vaccinated. That’s his prerogative
    PGA must enforce their protocol

Now. Should the protocol still be in place?
Probably not for a non-contact sport played outdoor, but my guess is that PGA had protocols still in place simply for insurance coverage purposes

This was bound to happen eventually, I suppose.

My only lineup this week has Rahm.

You know what’s dangerous ? Being born…if you get through that horrible trauma (for you and your mother) then its all down hill from there and you will die. So that is why we have golf so if you play it will make your inevitable demise that much worse. You cant beat the Reaper and most people have a hard time beating old man par !
But thank God or who ever for golf this last year and a half. My wife and I played the whole time from east coast to west and everything north to south ! If that don’t kill you nothing will.

Makes sense now after Rahm made the hole in one, morikawa awkwardly almost gave him a high five but backed away. I thought it was weird be he obviously knew that Rahm could have had the sniffles.

Disagree. The Covid panic has long since passed. Incredible that the PGA Tour who was at the fore front of resuming normal activities a year ago has not moved on to business as usual. Will they close the course to spectators tomorrow? It’s the only thing they could possibly do to save face as ridiculous as it seems. Idiots!
