Why did you not do a forum Euro this week?

The issue was the Porsche event started on Saturday and it’s only going 3 rounds, and DK didn’t have Classic EURO contests because of the wacky timing/format.

thur SD bet $1 almost comes in last place
Fri SD bet $1 gets back $1.50
Sat SD bet $1 gets back $1.95
Classic bet $102.50 current winnings $4.40

Nothing like treating Sunday showdown like Monday night football. A chance to break even or get ahead.

btw, Jimmy Walker…go suck an egg, last week I had lots of you.

Jimmy “Johnny” Walker currently bogey free -5 thru 10. I’m sure everyone had him in mind for Sunday showdown. Golf is weird.

    Make that -6 thru 11

    WTH did Rozner just do?

  • BIF

Wow Hovland makes eagle on 15 and then lips out for an Ace on 16

Some of the worst rough on the course is left on #3 as it’s a steep downslope and there is water to the right – but yah he made a mess there

  • RudyPujols

JT is such a head case with the putter. He’s either making them all or missing them all.

  • RudyPujols

JT with 5 consecutive misses from 4.5-5.5 feet. Just needed him to stay within 10 points or so of Noren to win my big H2H. And Noren is suddenly the best iron player in the world and JT is going to lose like 7 strokes putting.

That helps me out some. Cink faded with a bad case of the rightsies down the stretch.

My best lineup now is Hovland – Cantlay. 1.5 DKFP behind it I have Hovland – Morikawa.

P.S. In other words, the last thing I need is Scheffler beating them. Nice start, guys.

Wow look at my man Rickie Fowler. Could he become relevant again? I hope so

Absolutely. It’s not like he ever lost his swing. He just let the fire burn down for too long without adding more wood (aka complacency). Looks like the enthusiasm to compete is back. Golf is better when he’s on the leaderboard.

Morikawa hits the green in front of the flag on the par 5 with his 2nd shot. Bounce, bounce, penal rough right behind the flag. I wonder if Jack wants the rough to be this rough on the reg, or maybe it’s extra long to compensate for greens running 12 instead of 13 on the stimpmeter this year?

Cracked me up yesterday when one of the TV announcers said “Normally our remote microphones pick up conversations between players and caddies. Today the cicadas have taken control of the audio.”

My Rahm ’6/6’ which has had no PHR for a while pulled ahead of my Morikawa – Cantlay 6/6, 408.5 to 405.5. Weird, isn’t it?

Tony Finau…..Heard something on the radio this week regarding him and had to look it up because I just insist on playing him and never heard the stat before.

Finau is ranked 83rd on Tour in Final Round Performance. This measures the percentage of time a player either improves his position over the final round or stays the same. He only improves or stays the same 57% of the time in the final round. So 43% of the time he goes backwards in the final round.

Here’s the link if anyone wants to dive deeper or add it to the research arsenal https://www.pgatour.com/stats/stat.219.y2021.html

Congrats to those that made the $$$ this week.

  • JimKronlund

    Think it is Cantlays trophy
    just a guess
    Edit: Then he does that…

thanks for sharing. I think I have a reason why. spitballing here, but he generally hasnt much upward movement possible. He should have been in contention more often then not. curious how the other top players look by the same comparison. Guys who are ranked lower in fed ex standings that finish high in that catagory intrigues me more.

lol i just saw a F* yay from Cantlay after the birdie on 17.

I know. Just when I’ve figured out I need Cantlay to win and Morikawa to take sole 2nd. Weird how I have 4 6/6’s, including both leaders this week. And I’m headed for a bigger loss than with one 6/6 last week.
