Ok this thing is starting to shape up. Now I just need to pick the right guys up top (which seems to be the “hard” part lol)!

Agreed. There’s a plethora of players in the 7,500 and under range. It’s easy to pick 4 and have enough salary left for any 2 of the five figure guys. But I’m not sure I want 2 of them in a lineup.

To be fair, there is another major in 2 weeks

    US Open June 17-20

True. Honestly I hadn’t considered him but the more I look at him, he seems worth a few shares.

Haven’t decided that yet but JT might be the one I pick. I know he’s been bad but why not here?

His collapse has been pretty incredible. He was on the brink of challenging Tiger and since that moment in 2019 everything seems to have gone wrong. Maybe he got injured and lost that ball striking mojo he had coming up. Even on the EURO Tour he hasn’t been able to recover it.

    Last 11 events: 9 MCs, 1 WD and a T56

Last decent finish was Scottish Open in Sept 2020

I tend to forget about these things, cash and H2H just aren’t on my DFS radar anymore.

Thanks for the reminder, I’ll throw a lineup in.

Winner: rolling the dice on Rahmbo
fade: Spieth(except for day 1 SD), JT, Cantplay, and oosty
    Sleepers: Kizzire, Henley, Merritt
deep dumpster dives that I have little confidence in but hopeful: Hao-tong. Knox, KSDT, Steele, Villegas

48 LU’s in minimax, 1 of which is my only LU in other classic contests. So the best of both worlds….MME and single bullet.

now onto Tiers…I will try to not use some of my higher owned classic guys in order to differentiate.

awesemo free ownership projections has Fitzpatrick at 20%. Only way he is below5% is injury newsetc.

  • timusbr

I dont follow twitter or read any tout sheets (future of fantasy was the last guy i followed)

So anyone find players commenting on course?

  • eruthruff

Yeah, I’d also like to know about how the course is playing this year. New greens are usually extra firm. My understanding is that the greens here have traditionally not been so firm (though they try).

I’ve heard mixed things about the fairway width. Supposedly the redesign was intended to make the course more playable. But I also heard that they widened them.

The rough is usually pretty thick here. I think 4 inches?

Normally the greens are pretty fast, I believe.

  • eruthruff

I just found a quote from Jack saying that he expects the course to play a bit easier because they don’t want to stress the young greens. Maybe that means they won’t try too hard to make them firm and fast.

  • Getty33

    This made me laugh.

Thanks for pointing that out! It’s a mistake in the top golfers tool.
I have to redo a few lineups.

I saw someone write about that, probably on Betfair. Said the greens are usually 13 on the stimpmeter, but will be 12 this week. So a tad slower.

    1. Tempted to fade the Death Train to get some leverage on the field. I’m very uncomfortable going with him with so much interest.

    2. At 6000, the Cucumber seems like excellent value? I mean, maybe he’s the perfect pivot off of KSDT?

I dont know if he is a great/good pick or not. Other than his salary and the perception of being a bargain. What reasons do people feel a heavy ownership is the thing to do. I mean he is the death train. He has several times F’d people when he has ownership percentage’s. I think its good to ignore people that think he should be pre-loaded into LU’s. and I am a ride or die type of person, I go 100% on questionable picks a lot. I do have 5/48.

Are you looking at stats like GIR?

For course history, KSDT has a 2nd place here in 2018. So Russell Knox (and William McGirt even) have more of that than Tyler C.

The difference with Cucumber is if he makes the cut and KS Death trains, you have 6/6 vs. a multitude of 5/6 at hopefully less than 5% ownership. I kind of see Cucumber as a less volatile KS.

    On the SEASON:
    • 69th SGOTT
    • 36th SG:APP
    • 45th SG T2G
    • 15th GIR%
    • 5/6 cuts with no worse than 39th
    • Tends to play better when the course isn’t a birdie fest

The dude is flat-out mispriced. There’s no good reason to fade other than “ownership”, which in PGA is mostly irrelevant because its usually pretty tough to get a 6/6.

He’s projected at 12% ownership. TWELVE. Not 25, 30 or 40. Fading him is the worst possible move. There is no statistical argument to do so.

    /rant

EDIT – I will be going 30% in my ownership of KSDT in MME and he will be in my single/cash lineup. I want to make sure I am at least 2x the field.

KSDT is close to a free square for me, but I have interest for the legend Sahith Theegala!

I have to agree here. I have had that debate in the NHL forum many times. Never ever fade a minimum price legit player.

This wonderful tag was around before I joined.

Anyone know how it came about ?

I also get a chuckle seeing the diversity of Jon’s dog gifs.

Diving deep for the value this week.

KSDT is only 1 of 10 picks in 21 lus.

My zeep22 block guarantees 2 together if 3/10.

Here you guys go. This just came out a couple days ago. A course fly over of Memorial.

Watching the memorial on golf channel right now, Jack Nicklaus is now up.
