Damn I guess I need to find a way to check on the Pro-Am results each week cause I might’ve swapped him out if I knew he W/D mid-way through the pro-am

This is were the problem lies in my opinion… if this was the nfl, mlb, nba the issue would have been widely known as each team has beat writers, multiple in most cases. The pga doesn’t have this since the players are individual and the tournaments vary city by city weekly. In today’s age there has to be a better way to get news out to the general public. It just supports how bad and or how little coverage there is in golf pre tourney and I put this on the people who currently cover golf….for crying out loud, I know it’s Sneds, BUT the guy one the tournament the previous week, you would think at least one person within the media would have reported he wasn’t able to finish the pro-am…

    Alex Noren

Shot 2 323 yds to green, 3 ft 0 in. to hole

    I choose to believe

Most overrated athlete on Earth starts with a three putt bogey after a short wedge for his 2nd

Would be a pretty good long drive guy or club pro, but pretty bad pro golfer.

And now Kirk drives it to “unknown”. Please let that be a ST troll.

That was an ugly par but it counts!

If Tiger is playing everyone is too concerned about he is doing to care about a guy like Sneds. There were tons of reports of Tigers ever move pre tourney which didn’t leave time to talk about anyone else lol.

insane that im going against someone who would lay 500 bucks on vaughn taylor in a single round showdown!

Ya that is crazy, I don’t have a twitter account but I feel like I should make one and tweet at Rob Bolton or some other pga writers and ask them to at least report on any injuries arising out of the pro-am or practice rounds, because as you said someone must be able to get that information

  • js5734

and then he ends his round with 5 straight birdies

that is pretty insane but I guess if you needed an extreme punt for showdown he is a very accurate driver of the ball, can hit a decent long iron and Poa is his preferred green type so if you are scraping the bottom of the barrel to make the rest of the guys you like fit I could see it (especially since he’s a thursday warrior and it’s only 1 round showdown). Pretty unlucky to run into that in a H2H though

But then there are so many guys like Jason Day who WD from the pro AM due to phantom injuries just to get out of playing and come out and light it up on Thursday. I am guessing it has to be hard to know if a guy WD for a legitimate injury or if they just didn’t feel like playing the pro AM that week as guys drop out all the time from those and still play just fine Thursday.

  • Dunzor

If it’s not a ST troll, looks like Cantlay hole out eagle

  • osuryanf

Did Cantlay just hole out for Eagle from 168 yards?

The difference is whether you W/D prior to the pro-am to get out of playing, then you are right impossible to know, but based on his statement it sounded like he played in the pro-am but had to W/D mid way through which is much more indicative of an injury to me

Brendan grace absolutely elite right now, he may shoot a -7 today

Lol… I actually just finished messaging Bolton hoping he can shed some light on why the injury news/general golf news is so poor when it comes to golf. If he responds I will let you know what he said. Heck, pay me to cover the tourneys pre start and I will be there every week and I promise the news would be the best…
