Checking in from Vegas. Only bet of the week, $5 on Bryson at 75 to 1. Let’s cash this for $375 tomorrow.

Hope you guys are all well over here. Only down $20 for the year, I keep tracking of everything on a spreadsheet. Time to get out of the red.

I just finished up a morning round of 101. I took 13 penalties. 12 water balls and 1 unplayable.

I hope you play cheap golf balls !

That would be over $50 worth of Pro V1x’s if that was me

I’ve really been liking the Bridgestone tour B330 balls all season. Get them for a 1$ a piece!

    Good luck man!

What is Brysons ownership going to be in Sunday showdown? The pricing for these slates makes no sense

    • 2020 DraftKings Best Ball NFL Finalist

Made it up to 13th sitting at 406.5 pts in the $100 single entry with a slight chance to take it down if Tiger and Poulter have good days tomorrow (and barring a lot of other chips falling in the right places of course)

Good luck to all the rest of the weekend!

No doubt. If he brings the 100K home I might have to help the 2nd place finisher in my contest.

  • hautalak

Damn I knew he was doing well but I didn’t know he was about to take everything down! GL for sure LionIrons! We’re rooting for you.

Hey yo for any of you statistics guys out there that rely heavily on a model to pick their players (me), what do you usually do at the beginning of a new season? Do you use pgatour.com’s rankings for the previous year for awhile before there is a large enough sample size for the current year’s rankings? If so, when do you make the switch?

I currently use a LOT of pgatour.com’s rankings for my model, and being at the end of the season, it’s pretty reliable (read: as reliable as possible), but what about after the playoffs? Thoughts?

  • XxHeisenbergxX

so its crunch time who do you guys like for the big showdown? I am using Kevin Na…is it better to play all morning guys? I mean is keegan gonna go off again today?

  • XxHeisenbergxX

To much tinkering with my coffee today! Everyone must be sleeping in!

  • js5734

I typically don’t play morning guys in showdown – you need to heavily factor in the finishing points – could potentially mean you need your morning guy to do something crazy or have 6 plus birdies which is tough on a course like this

Good input I tried to focus on birdie makers , I am hoping Danny Lee and Grillo get super hot today.

    I have a lot of Phil 🙄

Oh crap I guess I don’t play enough golf or showdowns everyone starts with points 🤬 my bad…I’m already 28 DK points behind lol

Well if some of the big boys choke I might have a good day cause these ownerships on the top of the heap are crazy.

  • karatesbadboy

Yeah the 4th round showdown is the only one with finishing points. It’s ridiculous considering pricing comes out Saturday morning so you get guys like Keegan in 2nd place at 7.1k. Don’t sweat it too hard though if you didn’t grab the top guys – it’s a more muted bonus and scoring is amplified. 1st place is a 13 point bonus and a birdie is 5.75 points so you can make up that ground quickly.

Don’t make the switch ever – just keep compiling. Ideally your baseline for each golfer would be a 4-5 year window. Using longer time frames will save you from thinking guys like Chesson Hadley are good golfers because they put up great stats on the west coast and it took 6 months to average back down.

Good morning from sunny Philadelphia! Thanks for all the good luck wishes. It’ll be a fun day. Hopefully the sun shines bright on me.

Faded everyone -10 or better in showdown. Looking for some meltdowns.

  • Mikeybaywatch

    Chris Kirk sucks.

0-6 in fairways hit so far the morning. Went from -1 thru 1 to +3 thru 8

  • walkoff9

398 people thought they cracked the showdown code lol

Amazing every week so many play the “optimal” lineup based on starting points.
