Probably a good plan, he’ll probably shoot an 85 this afternoon

I played him in the 12 dollar single entry SD today…

  • hbomb57

Just as I was about to type Lanto with a bogey streak he chips in for birdie from sand trap.

  • BrianVT

Good lord, 2nd place is going to be like T10 at some point today.

  • MGoHarbaugh

Well Finau and Hideki didn’t come to play this morning. That’s it for me, see y’all next week.

  • JH822547

Finau gives the birdie straight back

  • Awon1

Well great wake up to Finau missing short eagle putts and then making bogey, Hideki ejecting, and Xander missing short putts after going OB on 1 too…

Meanwhile Si Woo Kim who I don’t have is taking over.

A bind I get into when picking a low scrub is the available ceiling makes you really giddy about squeezing a few studs into one linuep, only to find that at least one of those studs is going to be a huge letdown. Not that Leishman and Armour are studs, but looking at Hideki, Bryson, Morikawa right now, they may very well all miss the cut, plus several other high priced golfers. Just a strange paradox or Murphys Law, I guess with building lineups around a scrub who plays lights out. Makes me sway more towards a balanced lineup, or no more than 1 $10k+ golfer at a time in a lineup.

Totally right. I squeezed in Armour/Lee for Rory/DJ.
I was hoping for a Danny Lee made cut and for DJ Rory to come 1-2 right? Murphy’s law indeed how your so confident in some picks and so leery on others and then boom, 20% Hideki or whatever he is , out there just hacking

Wow. SWK with 18 inches for yet another bird on the par 3. He’s on fire!

Err 17 inches, but he missed it? And I don’t see a 2nd putt. Not sure what the deal was.

P.S. Final edit: Shot-tracker didn’t show that his first shot was into the trap until now.

SWK aka Munoz II though I see Munoz has finally landed back down to earth.

  • Awon1

Who in the world has any of these leaders? I only have some Henley and English. Everyone else on the top of the leaderboard I have none of.

  • Awon1

I swear every time I choose Xander he sucks at putting. Every single time. And every single time I choose Hideki, he ejects.

Same deal here, but with Mark Hubbard. I used that savings to make a Bison/DJ lineup, a DJ/Morikawa/Finau lineup, and a Webb/Morikawa/Finau lineup. Looking like all three will have one (or more) high-priced gophers missing the cut.

Beat me to it haha holy heck

  • sneaksox

Not feeling too good about Tony after those last three holes, maybe he’ll get there but that’s a terrible way to start any kind of comeback.

  • tristanwolf

anyone else need doc holiday redman to shoot like -5 today?

  • tristanwolf

someone probably posted splits yesterday but 10-18 gotta be a lot tougher right?

Yea, I was watching it live. His drive put himself behind a couple tall trees. Tried to go over top and clipped some leaves which knocked him back down into a nasty rough lie. Couldn’t do much with it. There’s another normally dependable one who might miss the cut now.

Edit: Actually, he’ll probably still make the cut. I was thinking he was +2 for tournament, but is -1.

11-15 is a gauntlet. If you get through those 5 holes even par (or even +1), you are setting yourself up nicely.

    -1.11 on the front.
    -0.56 on the back.

    That was yesterdays.

Yeah, front 9 was 1.1 strokes under par yesterday and back was .5 under par. it’s really 8-14 that are the tough ones though. 15-18 actually well under par and 18 is easiest hole on the course. The “hole by hole stats” on datagolf is great.
