XMan, Reed, Finau all sitting at -2 on the bubble with just a few holes to go, going to be huge for the 6/6 % either way

He has the par 5 coming up. Unless you are Bryson, you pretty much cannot reach close in 2, meaning Xander most likely has a 5-10 putt for birdie at best….and he’s missed all of those pretty much today.

  • Ricardo5346

Dahmen has saved par 1 of the 4 times he’s been in bunker today. That time was on #4 when he drove it in there and missed a 7.5 foot birdie.

My Man making a mess of #1 to go in the hole, not the start I was looking for.

    Hideki also at -2.

Only Finau has the easy finishing holes. The par 5 7th is gettable, but 8-9 are not as birdiable as 17-18 for Finau.

XMan with a beautiful drive to start.

Phatty rephuses to hit phairway, now needs another 10-phooter for par.

The drive doesn’t matter that much on that hole unless you hit it into a bunker I guess. It’s all about the wedge shot 3rd. He’s left himself with the best possible angle after 2 shots, but if he can get the wedge close to 5-10 feet, he has one of those putts left for birdie he missed all day. If he can get it < 5 feet, that would be amazing.

Where do you get that? I honestly think it’s like 80/20 -3 vs. -4 (-3 the favorite).

I used to care about the cutline but it doesn’t matter! Whatever it is, my golfers will be one shot below.

A good drive doesn’t matter? Sure does.

Should be a bird, 1yd to hole.

Well I’m just saying the wedge that matters for him vs. the drive. He hit it to 5 feet, which was the best he pretty much could do. Unless you hit it in a bunker, the drive matters vs. the wedge only for guys who can reach in 2 like Rahm and Bryson (bigger than Xander).

Anyways, Xander has a birdie look for 5 feet, which is probably the best he pretty much could do on that hole (see my post reply above before he even teed off on the hole).

Just one time…he hasn’t made one all day…

This isn’t an easy birdie. He’s lucky he gets a read from Rahm’s putt.
