    3) Sun only

    My vote, if we’re voting.

Having the entire thing done on the main day means you have a better idea of who will actually be playing when you set your lineup than if you have to pick from a multi-day pool. Also probably easier to fill than if it starts on a Thursday, I guess.

P.S. When they go to Saturday – Sunday slates, whichever is the DK main slate.

We’re supposed to be starting at 7.30 tomorrow morning. I’ll be shocked if that happens!

good thing NYC area to Baltimore (Owing Mills -BMW Championship) is a 3-4 hour drive, or a short helicopter jump for our favorite millionaires.

  • manoffewwords

Yeah, looked at forecast, and expecting 2-4 more inches of rain thru tomorrow. Probably going to need a lot of time to get course in playable shape tomorrow if possible. May just have a playoff for Rahm and Smith. I hope this is not the case. They could definitely finish 72 holes on Tuesday. I hope this is case. Probably will wait till tomottow to make this decision. Round 4 SD up in air also.

Hey if John Daly can drive through the night and win the ‘91 PGA Championship without a practice round, these dudes can roll into the BMW 36 hours before their tee times.

I’d love the windfall for DFS purposes, but I think they gotta get this in even if it’s Tuesday. But I don’t know enough about these guys’ regimens and routines to know if that confers a legitimate unfair advantage to Fatrick, Oosty, and the Top 70 who MC or not to be honest.

  • RudyPujols

    Current projections:
    Phil #67
    Mitchell #69
    Dahmen #70
    Higgs #76

Think Phil will tweet or text Harry about a rematch Wednesday in Baltimore? I’m guessing by private text to the foursome only.

  • whodat2

I don’t see them calling it at 54 holes do to it being the playoffs. Regular event sure, but golfers just out of the 75 deserve their 4th round shot. I can see a Tuesday finish. I can even see the BMW moved to a Friday start. We’ll see I guess.

As for football, I agree main slate only for me. I will probably be playing DK instead of FD this year. Will have to get used to the scoring differences.

I would like to make an effort to do something similar to our golf Happy meal this year for the NFL. Not just 1 contest but perhaps a few different to reflect the portfolio of NFL that DK offers.

    ANY IDEAS????

I always did a $3 NFL contest weekly (The Happy-er Meal) but I think I never pushed it for more than 30-40 entries as a lot of guys complained they didn’t want all the golf league emails/notifications that came with it by joining the NFL contests.

It was always the Sunday only Main Slate but I would post other days where there was 2+ games like Turkey Day or end of season Saturday and Playoffs.

I will continue to post this $3 one for NFL as a few people ask for it when I’m tardy posting it and will try to monitor how fast it fills for future sizing but I’m NOT tracking points or where people finish.

  • manoffewwords

PGA Tour has posted tee times for tomorrow starting at 7:30. Threesomes off front and back,so have to get SD picks even if delayed.

  • JimKronlund

Tee times for Monday will be 7:30am-9:42am et threesomes split tees.

  • goldandmyrrh

We’ll see. I’ll be very surprised if they can start at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Doesn’t seem to give the groundskeepers time to prepare what would be a very wet track.

The PGA Tour has altered its policy for the Northern Trust which means play can go into Tuesday even if half the field does not finish.

    Now 11:30 AM ET

Looking less likely they get this in.

I live less than a mile from the course and it’s not raining anymore. Course must be in horrible shape though given how bad the roads are flooded.

6 inches of rain yesterday – I’m sure some of the extra delay is due to trying to drain/pump out bunkers and then try to move that water to somewhere the ground isn’t already saturated.

I know they want to get this thing in ASAP but golf in the slop is no fun for the player as it will be incredibly slow with the need to lift and clean the ball all day and likely some casual water drops.
