When looking at the TV coverage, I noticed that some was on Peacock, so I went to check it out and found out I get it free for having Xfinity. Who Knew?

Then there is Leishman at 7700 or Ancer at 7600. Went with Leishman and left 300 on the table.

Leishman at 7,700 or Shane Lowry at 7,900?

What can you Euro fans tell me about Armitage? Need a cheep one down low, but would like to fade chalk Burns who sucks in majors.

Links specialist I believe. I played him last week at low ownership and expect more of the same this week.

I like Lowry more. In the build I was describing I already had Lowry in it but like both of them.

Yea I think I’m going to stick with him. It’s only one lineup. Plus I’ve already done too much tinkering, ugh.

Seeing Reed as possibly the 2nd or 3rd highest owned behind Spieth and Rahm.. I normally love to take Reed but he usually is never mega chalk like this.. I do have a bet on him to win this event from January, but I will have to pass in DFS.

I just feel like a chalk Reed isn’t worth taking, I don’t think he is that much better than the players around him.

Just watched the 2011 Open film on YouTube. It really has to suck to be Tom Lewis this week, going from Top Am in 2011, to not being in the field this week and having to settle for the Barbasol.

But he is still golfing everyday for a living and seeing the most beautiful courses in the world while driving a Ferrari from his mansion to a private jet.

He is also the type of player I watch out for when he starts cycling near the top for a couple weeks because he has proven to be more than able to come out first when he is peaking.

ICYMI…Post from Daniel Rapaport, @daniel_rapaport from Golf Digest on Twitter regarding his conversation with Morikawa yesterday:

Interesting chat w/Collin Morikawa, who said he’s struggled making solid contact with his irons on the firm turf over here.

Last week’s Scottish Open was his first time playing links golf. Said club didn’t move through turf the way he’d like. Been a focus in prep this week.

Edit: Inquiry, any scouting report on Lucas Herbert?

Tring to pick my last player and I’ve narrowed it between X-man or leaving some on the table and grabbing Harris English. I know Harris has some lynx history. Any advice?

Yeah it’s weird. People usually hate playing him because most dislike him. Personally I love playing him and do it just about every major.

The Amateur Championship was played at Royal St. George in 2017. Three Open players with their elimination from the Amateur:
    Garrick Higgo, Round 1
    Mim Woo Lee, Round 3
    Robert MacIntyre, Round 4

    Good luck, all!

Struggling with what to do with Louie. I rode him at both Kiawah and Torrey and I feel like the big price jump/ mediocre Open history outside of St.Andrews should dissuade me, but I just feel like his game is made for this and he’s on fire.

I’m in the same boat. I’ll likely be underweight and that was a hefty jump.

ATM I feel I might have too much Cink… but I really feel the need for “values” here, even with being able to make “good” balanced lineups.

  • BlueEdwards

Reed is the 3rd highest owned player? Hell, they can’t do that….it screws up all my arrangements

  • BlueEdwards

    Chalk Louie or chalk spieth….🤔

Webbs going to show up, hit every fairway and green and just cruise to a top 20 at $8300 5% ownership, isn’t he?

Not rigorous or scientific, I know. But Lucas Herbert (like Richard Bland) helped me win a couple tickets in the Scottish Open (held on a links course) last week. So both are in my pool The Open.

Disclaimer: No guarantees either does well again, this field is mega-stacked. But if I’m at a coin flip between similarly-priced players, the edge goes to the one who did well on that side of the pond last week.

  • BlueEdwards

FWIW…this knucklehead at work told me to play Richard bland. Do whatever you feel is prudent with this information.

I knew he was a few months ago, didn’t know he still was injured. Explains the last couple of finishes.

Can’t imagine he would have made the trip across the pond if he didn’t think he had a chance though. I guess he is a giant question mark this week.
