So Daly is out and Vegas loses out on their cash cow player bet who would have been at 5,000,000 million to one to win the Open.

you don’t deserve to have money if you bet Daly.

Playing Fanduel for the Open. Pricing looking good for the Europeans. Rose $11,600 Fleetwood $10,900 and just gets cheaper from there.

I think I’ll just put him in and differentiate elsewhere. That price makes no sense at all!

56 guys finished under par here in 2012 Irish Open and winning score was -18

This place is short and very gettable if the wind is tame – that’ll be the biggest factor in my lineup building as everyone tees off the first hole and there is over 8 straight hours of guys teeing off #1 so there will likely be a better and worse part of the draw to be in.

With no wind, there will be some 64’s and 65’s for sure and possibly lower.

Cantlay isn’t really overpriced and I don’t think will be that chalky (around 20% I guess that’s relatively high but not super high). He’s priced higher than Kuchar and Scott, both of whom have had pretty much as good of a season. Kuchar probably has had the better season. He’s also priced higher than Hideki who hasn’t missed a cut forever and 800 more than Gary Woodland who just won a Major.

Rory shot a 61 on this course as a 16 year old. With no wind, I can see this tournament turning into the 3M and JDC.

Webb Simpson will probably be the highest owned player again, like the US Open. DK really does not like adjusting his price.

really wow, I just cant understand how you came up with this. Webb in a major? Webb on a links course? Webb vs the best in the game today? You are something of a savant at this DFS golf. You are more right than wrong and have proven your ability to MME and win major prizes.

Webb Simpson highest owned? Please educate me on why.

Why who do you think will be higher owned?

It’ll probably be like Webb, Cantlay, Scott, Hideki, Kuchar, Rory around the top 6. I just chose Webb outa that group since he was lowest priced and easier to fit.

I don’t think it being links matters at all if there’s no wind. It’ll play like the Wyndham, JDC, or 3M or something similar.

He’s 3rd in FPPG, but 13th in salary. He did good in majors this season, finishing 9th, 3rd and 21st. He also finished 12th last year at the Open.

I like all the other guys you mentioned too, but I think Cantlay will be very popular for the reasons I mentioned. I could see Kuchar getting some ownership for the same reasons, too.

Webb is an easy lock for me and probably for everyone else. DK is showing no respect. 16th in FPPG but 30th in price. 5th, 29th and 16th in the other majors, and 12th at last year’s Open.

Yea for sure I got Cantlay in my top 6ish in ownership (I guess chalky in the sense for the British Open but not chalky as in the 30% you see in other tournaments as Major Ownership is very spread out). I think Webb will be highest, but I think that entire group of (Cantlay, Hideki, Kuchar, Scott) will be pretty close. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuchar is higher than Cantlay, especially if the wind picks up. Kuchar gets better with more wind because he’s a more accurate hitter in general.

I’m interested in seeing how Kuchar does in the Scottish Open.

Finally, a bad Major course fit for Brooks. Now, we can stop saying he only shows up for Majors because I don’t think he’s gonna show up for this one not because he isn’t mentally ready but because this course isn’t a good fit for him.

The euro stud who crushes the Scottish Open.
I wont look at Open pricing until Sunday. I want to put teams together before I do. Lots of showdown to play before then. Sticking with my process (as bad as it may be) :)

Are we just talking about ownership here? I’m not saying the highest owned player is the best play. I think if the winner of the Scottish Open is a big name, it’ll change his ownership a bit higher, but in Webb’s range, I don’t think the winner of the Scottish Open will overtake him in ownership. Hao-Tong Li and Matt Wallace can win by like 10 strokes and I still think Webb is higher owned. It’s just a precedent set that when Webb is mid 7ks in majors and in good form, he becomes ultra owned (like the US Open he was like 40% and way higher than everyone else).

IMO, the contrarian play here off of the chalky 7.5k – 9k range is Tony Finau. It’s so interesting because last year he woulda been the chalky play at that range, but now he’s the contrarian play.

    Yeah I don’t get it.

I hate having to play someone because they are priced incorrectly. I love Webb though so whatevs.
