I think Poulter is an above average pick, but I will be underowned (or fade entirely) because (a) he hasn’t played well in 2 months, (b) he’s not great on links and fescue (he’s played well in 5 of the last 11 opens, but the others weren’t so good, including a couple dumpster fires), and © he’s not a great DK scorer. I often play him at the other three majors, but not the Open.

Poults carded 2 T10s in those 5. Additionally he was first round leader in 2017 and finished in 14th.

Just heard Jason Kokrak on PGA Tour Radio say if someone gets to double digits under par they will win. He is not expecting a birdie fest, says there will be many balls OB this week due to how close OB is on several holes.

With the trouble that lurks all around this course, would it be fair to assume that playing temperamentals like Rahm, and Hatton are an extreme risk?

I hope not since I found Hatton, Rahm, and Reed in my lineups. I tried hard to find a fit for Spieth as well

Thoughts on Kokrak? My model has him undervalued.

I put $50 on him in Vegas last week just based on the 400/1 odds he was getting. Seems like a decent enough value on a long shot.

In case anyone else missed it. Ricky Elliot – Koepka’s caddie is a member at Portrush. I think that is a good advantage for a guy that only like to play majors.

^this is my biggest worry for this week.

The Brooks = major killer narrative gets over played a bit but at the same time it’s very well founded. I can’t gauge how everyone feels about it this week but am inclined to think it goes under the radar.

I didn’t particularly like my lineups where I weighted Brooks heavy so only have a small share, but would not be surprised to see him take this home in typical Brooks fashion as well.

  • titanhawks

    Winner: Rory (his Olympics)

Fade: Spieth and Mickelson (they expect to lose these days)

    Sleeper Frittelli (coming in hot)

Who was the dude last season (or the one before?) who got the yips with a wedge in his hand?

I feel like he would do well here.

On the Golf Channel last night they were saying how some of the features here compare to Erin Hills. I expect some pretty low scores and Brooks can go low in the majors.

Anyone using DK sportsbook for golf? The parlay restrictions seem very odd.

How is a parlay of “Hole in 1 on #16” & “Rory birdies 1st hole round 1” too similar to be combined on a parlay slip?

I think this type of restriction is common to not be allowed to parlay prop type bets. I know on Bovada you can’t parlay any prop bets no matter how similar or different they are. I am guessing these bets are the same where they allow single wagers only and it has nothing to do with them being too similar. Just a guess since I can’t use DK sportsbook in my state.

Ok thanks. Yea I can’t use it here in NY either but was browsing what was available since NJ is just a short drive if I did want to play. Even tried to put together tickets across multiple event and was restricted as well. If it’s the norm then it’s the norm. Nothing lost!

I would get rid of Mickelson too, lol! Dude’s in a slump and despite him losing 15lbs, he’s still going to probably MC.
