It seems to me like there is a lot of Finau love in here. Total fade for me- but that usually just makes me assume I am missing something..

3 starts at The Open >> 2018: 9, 2017: 27, 2016: 18, but I will admit that his form is not the greatest.

EDIT: I could go either way with Finau. I read somewhere to focus on approach and scrambling where Tony is in the 50’s in both on the season.

    Ownership, price, recency bias.

He is capable of tearing this course up and you can get him at both a discount and reduced ownership.

I’ll be responsible but over the field. I view Spieth and Molinari like I do Finau here.

Entered the week eating the Rory love and the move I read about the course today and set up, I am leaning to a fade or very underweight. His putting has not been great lately and while the pressure gets to him too much, it has to factor in. I was already going with Rose as my horse at the top but am now leaning towards Rahm over rory as #2 up top along with a little Koepka.

I just really like others in Finau’s neighborhood. I would rather have Leish, Webb, Pepp, and maybe RCB (over Finau) even if I had to eat a significant ownership hike at that price point.. I can easily differentiate at lower price points

I agree. I like those guys but I dont like that they are more popular and I just feel like Finau has a better shot to win than any of those mentioned. His range of outcomes is pretty wide with most realistic being someone who makes the cut but doesn’t seriously contend.

This week will sure be interesting for me as I am not playing anything the forum is talking about for the most part lol..my player pool is much different.

I might be out the first two hours of play lol

  • Money0227

The weather forecast (as it stands right now) has me on more balanced lu’s with guys like Day and Finau to help offset the chalkier plays.

  • sfguy21

For the the regular Euro guys, what are your thoughts on Andy Sullivan? Recent form is pretty solid but I don’t know much else about him. Fits well at his price point and seems like he will come in at a lower ownership level.

  • al0e_neill

I’m jacked up and doing something new which means I am starting to tinker looking for ownership pivots.

Does anyone have ownership projections for DJ?

Nobody talking about DeChambeau? Good form right now. Would go elsewhere in cash but a great GPP play IMO.

Dj at the lowest price ever

Watching Golf Channel, they commented that the golfer this week has to hit ball solidly to have s Chance. On pga tour they have a stat which measures this, called the Smash Factor. Cantlay is #1 in this stat. Chamblee discussed this,so take it as you wish.

I agree the form is there, but he can be a head case when things go bad. Plus his around-the-green play is not stellar, and this course has so many run-off areas, I think he could struggle.

    Just my two cents though

I just have a vision in my mind of that claw grip with his putting stance on these greens ending in a disastrous result. Can’t pull the trigger on him

  • byo34

Some brave people taking JT. I am normally always on him but the wind is not his friend. Flashbacks to the Genesis open earlier this year.. The wind started and he disappeared basically gift wrapping JB Holmes the win. I can’t imagine the wind here is more friendly.

I wouldn’t play headcases in majors, especially the Open. Makes guys like him and Rahm easy fades for me.

I would love both in the Barbasol.

Tiger gonna be underowned? Less than 13%?

  • Felixxberg

I didn’t enter any contest yet but they fill up fast. I’m just hoping there will be some kind of promotion to make us enter the Royal Rumble for less because there’s no way it fills and there’s no way I’m entering a $3K lineup.
