I’m gonna say 8.7% and see how close I am.

I would say 15%. When has Rickie been under 10?

You’ve mentioned Sneds a couple times and keep saying luckbox – what is so luckbox about Sneds ??

He has missed 4 of the last 8 cuts in The Open and only has a couple Top 10’s all year – this would definitely be an off year for Sneds based on history.

….and for someone who has played Sneds a fair bit waiting for that big result, I can tell you there has not been any luckbox magic from him that has filled my wallet for quite a while !

It’s a running joke I have. Every time I see him he’s holing long putts, off the green, from the bunker, or off the rocks lol. I’m sure there’s some skill to that but since I can never do that in real life I just call him a luckbox. For sure he holes more shots off the green than anyone I know (him and RCB).

I feel like putting here is important since you often have like weird putts over 3 bumps on the green (like the Rickie Commercial).

I think avoiding Mats and Scott is risky but I can’t see their putting holding up.

    Another reason to like Snedeker.

Why do people say Webb Simpson will be highest owned? Why not Henrik Stenson. I was looking at Vegas odds. His Is higher than everyone around him in price. It’ll be funny if he’s super high owned and then he can’t make a 10 foot putt and 3 putts from 30 because that’s pretty much what he does.

I wouldn’t recommend him in cash games his putting is way too suspect.

Spieth is next level Luckbox then as he makes more pitch-in/chip-in and 30+ footers than anyone

Is Graeme going to be chalk at 7900?

I’m not expecting chalk but he will be popular for his ties to the course and all the media about wanting to play and then how he got it.

    I’d guess 8-9% so he won’t be a sleeper

Thanks…he fits easily into any LU and a pretty good bet to make the cut plus all his ties to the course.

Its really easy to build mid range balanced LUs but they are going to be heavily duped.

This video screams avoid the guys who struggle after putting up a big number.

Fully expecting pure bad luck to really hurt some guys this week. Anyone else get that vibe?

It looked like fairways and greens to me which is what Brooks does. Sure it helps to be great at scrambling but that will not be optimal here over four days.

I think it would be the opposite. If in fact the greens are a bit bumpier I think it would make it more difficult for the “good” putters and the “bad” putters wont lose as much ground.

Can I get some advice on a good player pool size if I’m entering 12 lineups into GPP?

I’ll say about 20. Keep a tight core. If you miss you miss. If your core is solid and you nail a few low owned guys you should hit big.

Yes of course he’s historically #1. In my Sneds/RCB “mini rants” I always make sure to say “this is like Jordan Spieth from 2+ years ago” but his luck has worn off a bit.

Spieth has like 2 extra career victories because of bunker hole outs that while some of it is skill to get it exactly perfect involves a lot of luck to.

So to be clear I don’t think the greens are fast but rather just super hilly and bumpy. I don’t really know what that means. I thought this would make putting/around the green more of a skill but maybe you are right it’s the opposite?

I don’t know too much about green speeds but from what I’ve read they don’t seem super fast but rather the putts will go over some hilly greens due to the way the course was built.

This is the same on the fairways. A lot of shots will be on hilly/undulated sections

How much does golfing IQ matter here? Isn’t this supposed to be more of a strategy golf course like judging the wind and the surfaces.

Because if IQ matters here I’m taking out Brooks and Dustin. All they know how to do is hit it long and then hit a wedge and hope they make a putt.

I hope that is the case, because I am going to be way over that number for McDowell. He has played this course hundreds of times and has to know every inch of it. I was expecting his price to be far higher based on his background.

He’s 3rd in FPPG, but 13th in salary. He did good in majors this season, finishing 9th, 3rd and 21st. He also finished 12th last year at the Open.

I like all the other guys you mentioned too, but I think Cantlay will be very popular for the reasons I mentioned. I could see Kuchar getting some ownership for the same reasons, too.

Webb is an easy lock for me and probably for everyone else. DK is showing no respect. 16th in FPPG but 30th in price. 5th, 29th and 16th in the other majors, and 12th at last year’s Open.

DK pricing is directly correlated to tournament odds to win at time of salaries being released. Webb is 80-1. You’d think their PGA pricing would be more dynamic like it is in say MLB or NBA, but that’s not the case. It’s actually pretty straightforward right on down the line.

I listened to Mayo’s show this morning and they were speculating about something possibly being awry in DJ’s personal life. This was the second pod I’ve heard speculate about this in recent weeks…..granted, it’s presented as speculation, and he’s had personal issues in the past, but is that why the speculation goes toward the personal life? Or are there rumors going around? When these guys aren’t playing up to their usual level, speculation about their personal life just isn’t something that is done usually…. it just strikes me as odd

It’s just really hard for me to look past the fact that he McDowell disappointed (MC) the last two weeks, at the Irish and Scottish opens, on what seemed to me similar courses. Before that he was playing great. I wouldn’t blame anyone for taking a shot with him on this course, but I can’t bring myself to invest much.
