JB Holmes is actually 0% owned in like 1200 lineups in the 555, but he is like 0.5% owned in the MM. If you chose him, I don’t know what to say.

I usually play some jb holmes… not a lot…. but some… maybe 5-10% of my lineups generally since hes a timebomb with those blowup rounds… nothing about this course said to me “play jb holmes”… in fact id set his over/under tomorrow at 76 and take the over.

That said i cant argue with playing ANY talented golfer who is less than 1% owned… wish i had a bit of exposure now

I enjoy when they cut to a guy you’ve never heard of putting from like 20 feet and you obviously know he’s about to drain it or they wouldn’t be wasting their time.

For almost any event that’s true, but I heard one of the NBC analysts on one of the pods this week say that when NBC carries The Open they make it a point to show at least one shot from every player in the field. The guy said the producers believe that if a player is good enough to garner a spot in The Open, they are good enough to be shown on TV. I’m sure they try to make it a good one if they can though. Hope they showed David Duval early today 😂.

I have 1/3 in $150 3-max DK…and a bunch in $15 on FD. Only because my gf’s work is auctioning off a flag signed by him and I told her to start the bidding at $1, also I was on tilt when I made a lot of those lineups. No logical reason to play him 🤷🏻‍♂️

Looks like today will finish with more than 70 players at +1. Without that bad weather in the middle of the day would have been even more. +2 is a real possibility for the cut

+2 is a lock to make it, even in the most benign conditions the course played 1.6 strokes over par

  • carolinacrusher

    +2, -1, -3, -3, -3, -3 is by far my best. Ben An is the +2

  • js5734

Best lineup so far is Brooks, Kuch, Sergio, Finau, Reed, Frittelli sitting in 280th in the milly

Maybe I worded this wrong, but I think that is what I said or at least tried to say. It was in response to the +3, +4 talk. I don’t see +4 at all without some really bad unpredicted weather.

Almost clicked him – if I do 5 more lineups, he is probably on 2 of them – already had a couple higher risk feast or famine guys like Garcia so passed on JB.

All the guy said was “Tiger hasn’t been elite at all since he stopped playing golf”. That means he knows nothing about golf?!? Tiger looks like garbage right now, and he was priced on DK among the “elite”

Tiger fanboys are really something. Who gives a crap what he did 15 years ago.

Tiger is good at winning small field events

    30 player Tour Championship
87 player (maybe 40 with a chance) Masters

Put me firmly in the +3 cutline camp.

You gotta figure the +2 and +3 guys are more likely to slide down than up…

And a lot of those Even and +1 guys just happened to avoid a big number, out of bounds, or unlucky bounce or two today that they’ll run into tomorrow..

I wouldn’t write off +2 or +4 completely, but +3 seems like the honey hole for now

Anyone got an idea of what cutline “could” look like tomorrow?

71 guys at +1 or better right now so simple math doubling that says +2 or better needed to play the weekend.

With tee times kinda being flipped tomorrow and it almost being +2 right now, you have to think that a +3 is very live as well – I actually think that is where it lands (that is, anyone at +3 or better makes cut).

Define “talented golfer” please – the difference between the 50th ranked player in the world and the 1000th ranked is nothing but opportunity in most cases.

  • js5734

the weather tomorrow does not look to be great – sustained 10ish mph winds with obviously higher gusts and 50% chance of rain all day long – T72 is +2 right now so I can easily see that doubling to +4. +3 is obviously in play as well

cutsweats has 6/6 in the MM at like 2% right now. Any 6/6 with guys -3 and better is live right now. Love The Open!

Not in the green in anything except the showdown survivor. Gonna have to sweat Woodland/Bryson/Palmer tomorrow or I will get skunked this week. Going to be hard to make up ground because the course isn’t yielding many points. All the teams up top have the few guys with BOFR.

  • bigez952

I got two lineups out of my 3 that are still alive and have a shot yet this weekend. Both of them have Chez Reavie sitting at +2 so him making the cut would be very nice for me tomorrow. I am lucky that I only played Scott and Leishman in 1/3 teams and they happen to be on the same one.

I have one not anywhere near the cash line every guy is -1 and Rose is -2 but that can all change with trip to the Rough!

  • lfn1992

Personally I’m going to give Jobu some rum in order to have Oliver Wilson make the cut tomorrow

i have a good one in a lot of tournaments with a +3 going. Need Hadwin to come out and play a good round early tomorrow.

    Lowry -4
    Rahm -3
    Stenson -1
    Kuchar -1
    Kisner -1
    Hadwin -3

    Has some potential at least.

Looking at tomorrow it def looks like TH PM FRI AM wave getting the weather advantage.

By the time Scott tees off there will probably he a tropical storm hitting portrush tomorrow.

So do the tee times flip now? Are the waves that went this morning, now going to tee off in the afternoon tomorrow? I know that sounds very novice.. but gotta start somewhere and this forum (and a few others.. cough NHL) are filled with some great people.

Thanks for answering for me. Hope to contribute more one day soon!
