After years and years of doing this, today looks like the worst start to a DFS major I’ve ever had…. that is not fun

  • XxHeisenbergxX

I was going to play showdown lineups tomorrow thinking nothing could be as ugly as today played out…(I need some serious help lol)

I decided this is gonna be a real piss poor week I just feel it. I’ll take my losses from the gpps and call it a week.

Funny thing is I have no Rory and no Tiger and I still suck ass…lol

  • bure10

One 6/6 with 10 MM LUs – Cantlay, Day, Stenson, Casey, Oos, Webb. If it gets to 5% with 6/6 and no one goes super low tomorrow then everyone is live. I guess we will know a lot more when we wake up tomorrow.

  • Sean2219

    Lowry -4
    Brooks -3
    Webb -3
    EVR -1
    RCB +2
    Adam Freaking Scott +7

Maybe a backdoor 67 to make the cut at +3………..
Kinda wish he was teeing off in the AM to delay the inevitable.

  • marker0357

    Prediction:

Rory and Scott will both make a charge and barely make the cut at +4
Woods continues to struggle and misses cut badly

      RG Overall Ranking

    • Ranked #50

      RG Tiered Ranking

Best lu is Rahm fleetwood Finau Sergio Putnam and rcb for 189.

Cash lu poor with Scott and Leishman. Hope one can make cut

  • monarch

My lines suck because of 93 percent Scott.

My best looking LU I think is…JT, Stenson, Mats, Kuchar, Finau, RCB

Edit: NVM that is duped seven times…FML

  • JaBr

It would really be wonderful if Billy Ho and Adam Scott could make this cut tomorrow.

  • marker0357

most of my lineups had either or Koepka paired with Scott and Stenson so are either completely dead or on life support.

  • marker0357

    *Rory

  • monarch

The worst of the weather tomorrow is projected to be exactly when Scott, Rory and Moli tee off. But it can change. It looks a little dicey between 2-4pm local time with wind and rain

  • marker0357

any word (during interviews, etc.) if Scott will go with the long putter tomorrow?

  • whodat2

Single bullet with 2k “invested” holding on to a +6, +7, and a +8 after round one. Killing these majors this year I tell ya!

  • badtrip

I have two that could end up OK.

    Day/ Stenson/ Finau / Lowery / Sergio / Xander

    Fowler / Sergio / Lowery / Rahm / Olesen / Wiesburger

If the Lineups aren’t screwed by the time I’ve had my morning coffee, I just may stay home in the AC all day.

    Let’s play a new game:

    2nd round leader: Sergio Garcia

Suprising missed cut: Hideki Matsuyama (E)

Surprising made cut: Rory McIlroy (+8)

I’d be happy with all three of those especially that Garcia call and the Rory made cut.

    2nd round leader – Fleetwood
Miss cut – DJ and Sungjae
Made cut – RCB and Palmer

  • TuscaloosaJohnny

I stand to do very well if Ian Poulter can make the cut. In every lineup I have him in he’s the only one with a good chance of holding me back from a 6/6.

Thanks everybody for your wealth of knowledge on this forum. Visit the college football discussions in the fall and I can pay you back. ;)

I did feel like JT was a guy I had to get exposure to.. he was basically the same price as noted dolts like Adam Scott, Hidekream of Some Young Guysamama, and Matty Kruger. I felt like if JT finished top 5 and i didnt play him at 10% ownership at that price id end up dropkicking my own mother in the face.

The sauciest post I have seen to date

  • XxHeisenbergxX

    2nd round leader – I Suck
Miss cut – all of my guys
Made cut – none of my guys

    LOL

I like the DK pt differentials. It could be worse, You could have Miguel Angel Jimenez who not only cost you 6300 but also cost you 1 Fpt to the total.

Where the median pts scored without finishing bonus is 12 pts, it makes a comeback on the DK leaderboard not to difficult. You gotta love Grillo’s total with the ace is dbl the median average. His T72 +2 is a T5 DK pts(without finishing bonus).

The standings are all skewed with T3 and T20 bonus points. so many people are going to lose 18 and 5 pts respectively. and consequently many people will gain them too. We all know things change from day to day but these slugfests day1’s are very deceptive. Dont give up. a miscut might not be so dangerous. (well unless you want the million)

Lots of people with dead lineups on here, I’m doing ok so far as I’m slightly ahead in GPP and crushing H2Hs (winning all but one of the 48 entered). H2H lineup could/should go 6/6 with an RCB made cut as only guy over par.

The key to my success on GPP will rely on RCB as I have him on 70+% of GPP entries and if he makes the cut, I have a good shot at a bunch of 6/6s. My other heavy owned plays are 50% Fleetwood, Van Rooyen and JT along with 40% Garcia. Also have around 30% MacIntyre, Rose, Kucheran and Oliver Wilson.

Have 35% Rory so that hurts but I only have 4% Scott, zero Leishman, zero Tiger, zero Phil, zero Poulter so I avoided most of the carnage.

Anything can happen tomorrow but RCB making the cut would be huge to set up a bunch of different combos.

  • starstx

The Majors are always fun because nothing is guaranteed … well almost nothing but anyone can have a blow up on one or two holes much less a round and with only a couple of strokes seperating a massive difference in the standings we should know by now it will all be upside down or right side up come tomorrow morning … gl round 2 everyone

Not good for you if he misses, but at least he takes a lot of others down with you at his ownership.
