What about Justin Thomas? Not great recent form or “course history” (in the Open), but at that price he would have been a lock not so long ago.

I must admit looking at DJ at 10.9, Rose at 9.8, JT at 9.1 I sometimes think I’m in Bizzaroworld

I’m expecting him to be the 2nd or 3rd highest owned in the field. Seems to do ok with links golf. I’ll play him but probably at half of what the field will.

Ryan Palmer hasn’t missed a cut in his last three Open Championships. He’s didn’t play the last 2 but in a three year stretch from 2014-2016 he didn’t miss the cut.

He also is one of the best ball strikers on the PGA Tour this season. Only $6500 on DK.

Stenson is so tough to judge here, I know he is gonna be popular but everything is pointing to a perfect spot for him to win again or at least top 10. Literally the only part of his game struggling even a little is putting but if he gets it going he could put together a masterful week.

He would seem like a solid cash guy if trying to plug Rory into cash, I don’t see Palmer top 25 though, of course anything could happen. As a newbie to cash would that be a better option than say 2 8k guys like Stenson/Mats because of the upside of Rory. I would think the Stenson/Mats (no idea if salaries match sorry) would be safer but like I said I’m a bit of a newbie to cash but hoping to learn more

Re: balanced lineups in Majors… I’ve pulled the top 50 or 100 for this sort of view in the past. I’ve never seen much of a consistent theme (see both balanced and unbalanced lineups just a putt or two away from winning). For the Masters I still have some data & it looks like the lowest salary goes down as low as $6,300 (Justin Harding) for lowest price. Not sure where you draw the line on balanced but these top 100 lineups ranged from 7600/9500 (low/high) to 6600/11300. Part of this that the top-priced player, Rory at 11600, had a poor finish.

Beef qualified for the field with an epic final round in the Scottish Open – a 61 or something to finish in the Top 5. If you are going for a hot hand, he might be an interesting pick.

Beef is gonna shoot over par and MC

It’s definitely not a perfect process but it helps me to enter with confidence. I am generally putting $800-$1000 in play every week so I want to make sure I am playing the guys I want to play because I think they are the best plays. Happy to talk on PM or have people pick it apart

No need to pick it apart – it works well for you

I do a lot of the same on a smaller scale and also do it by hand but usually keep it to 20-40 lineups.

Where you trim a core player’s ownership down, I do the same pivot exercise so always have a quarter to half of my lineups having the same 4-5 guys with some select pivots.

Damnit Matt Wallace is with Tiger, all I’ve heard recently is how over priced Wallace was and wanted to jump all over him but this makes me nervous

Yea I like Beef as a fan, and if he beats me he beats me this week, I’ll enjoy it but I will have 0%

I should hit the pipe then just click buttons tonight after the last 3-4 weeks of birdie fests as they locked the shit out of me and I’m in need of an attitude adjustment myself !

I won’t get to catch much of the Open this year, as I will be playing in the GCAM tournament again at Pinehurst. Ready for those goosebumps, and to “deal with it” on #2. I am coming in hot this year winning my last three local tournaments. Would love to hoist a Pinehurst trophy!

The biggest question mark on the whole player pool to me is what to do with Jordan Spieth and Jason Day.

They fit perfectly in a balanced build but can also be part of a 3 star, stars and scrubs build.

They’ve both been trending up. I’ll have to have some exposure but who knows how much.

My guess would be you don’t need to have a ton of exposure in order to be overweight on both of these guys, which I do like as I’d love to have a small share of both.

3 wins in a row? Get ready for a $11,900 Whodat on DK! Gonna have to go stars and scrubs to fit you in…

LOL i hope you are getting points for bogey streaks.

So am I the only one who was waiting for Nino to be priced?! I’m gonna have at least 10% of him (so most likely 4 lineups). But at 6100 he might be one of the better options unless we think last week was a career performance…

  • Bastardo

Anybody have the link to the Pat Gayo tourney?

  • byo34

Something has to be wrong with me for still wanting to roster DJ after being the low scorer in my last few lineups.

hmm..Glover is only $6500…not much history in the Open..recent form on easy course good..stats good, all of his SG stats are inside top 50 and SG total is 17th

Glover is one of the few under $7k golfers that I am looking at. He rates out well in all of the stats I am tracking.

With the trouble that lurks all around this course, would it be fair to assume that playing temperamentals like Rahm, and Hatton are an extreme risk?
