As things stand, this is a case of no Lowry, no big prize.

However, I’ve been looking at the % draft by the leaders in the milly maker.

There’s more than a few other very low % picks.

    e.g.
    Putnam 4.8
    Westwood 2.6
    Willet 1.2
    Kisner 3.8
    Grace 0.9
    Knox 1.9
    Harding 0.9

Damn guess I should “buck up” and play the Mayo. Typically I’m In the $0.10-$5 range though for what I enter. I’m guessing my “main” HM lineup would be cashing there.

Nice lineup so far but I don’t think Lowry hangs on as some of the big boys like Fleetwood, Rose, Xander and Koepka probably run over him

This was 6-7 hours ago. It didnt age well. 😂

    What’s the showdown thought process?

The weather goes downhill before the leaders tee off in terms of wind but those finishing points might be of value if par is a good score tomorrow.

Let’s say Koepka shoots even with his finishing points he probably gets around 35 DK points. A guy like Matt Wallace could post 50 before the wind hits.

Do we go all morning wave if the wind projection holds or a mixture of 5 AM/winner or 4 AM/winner/runner up? I’m leaning towards five really early guys and Brooks and leaving tons of money on the table.

is there anyplace we can see how many birdies/pars/bogeys each player had through round 3 without having to go to each individual profile?

Still one more day and finally the fan is getting turned on tomorrow – we’ll see if he can hold a “comfy” lead in the wind.

To his credit, there really aren’t many people in close striking distance but the ones that are there are among the best in the world and I expect at least one of them to make a mini-run to put some heat on Lowry

Brandon Wu is a great player – he was the first amateur to make it (through qualifying) for BOTH the US Open and The Open Championship in the same year in over 50 years – he finished 25 in the US Open at Pebble Beach.

He just graduated from Stanford and went 3-0 in Match Play leading Stanford to the National Championship. He was a 2nd team All-American this year and stayed Amateur to play in the US Amateur and the Walker Cup matches.

He is right up there with Wolff, Hovland and Morikawa – other top recent NCAA players.

oh okay… i thought he was some total rando…. still thats gotta hurt…. especially with putnam right there… i cant really bring myself to criticize anyone for not playing john b. holmes lol

Take this for what it is worth, and God knows I’ve been wrong before, but I’ve frequently questioned Lowry’s mental fortitude before, and amplify that times 100 for a major. I still feel like Lowry ain’t winning this.

Hey, If I read the previous comment before today started I would agree 1000%. I thought he was due for regression. The leaderboard is filled with familiar names. You get the idea many could go “ham” on a final day to take it.

Add 30mph+ winds and getting to even par is going to be a challenge. Let alone making a 4 to 7 stroke gain. Lowry has to F’up in order for others to get a chance. He has been in the top 10 of DK scoring everyday. That is a sign of a mediocre round to come. I think in showdown, I am gonna go lowry/flleetwood on 1 LU and play my 3rd rd LU yet again.

In all seriousness could be a huge day for me tomorrow. We shall see how things shake out. Will need nice rounds from Hadwin and Kisner out early.

course fit, he was a pretty good looking play this week really and he’s been in pretty good form lately too if you’re into that sorta thing. He’s a pretty good player really for that price…he models well on the right courses

  • eruthruff

I’m hoping that Fleetwood will win today, so I can bring home those 500 crowns from the promo.

weather: I tried taking a few early starters in the showdown to take advantage of the weather, but I don’t know how well that’s going to work.

I don’t since my winnings will drop by much more than the $0.91 that those 500 crowns are worth.

    Sergio ffs.

Knocking his 2nd to the par five into the thick stuff, plays a provisional to within 3-4 feet.

Interesting rules question actually, is he obliged to look for it or can he just take the provisional?

  • astauty

I don’t know that I’ll ever roster sergio again. Bill haas has more firepower than him at this stage

Fcuking bum….drove it OB on 5 ran it through the green…is that on the caddy? Then should have had an eagle on 7….thats a 3-5 shot swing

Between that 3 holes stretch and Day’s 7 hole stretch, probably the most unlucky shit I’ve had happen to me in DFS Golf

  • astauty

Why is my entire team not capable of making a birdie on 2 or 7. My goodness

Every time you write someone off, they inevitably top10 in the next tournament to pour salt on your wound…..be pissed now, but writing someone off always backfires

  • JH822547

Sergio’s tee shot on 5 was just a bad break. We want him to go for the green and get a eagle chance.

I can’t see myself going back to Sergio in majors at least.

The issue I have with it is he could have easily gotten to the front of the green with a 3-wood, I’m sure by the time he got to the 5th tee, he heard people had no issues driving it…that combined with a helping wind and how long he usually is off the tee, caddy’s gotta tell him to maybe dial back
