the most duplicated lineup 222 entries had molinari

This goes back to my point 100+ pages ago, I was wondering if the h2h’s I was facing were sold LUs because more than half of them had Molinari and I thought it was a dubious pick. Now, they’re h2h, so that works in my favor, but I really found it odd.

Exactly my point. Because of the bad prices to Fowler and Kuchar, they got massive ownership. DK compensated for this by overpricing Fowler/Kuchar for the weekend and underpricing Rory.

Just take advantage of the pricing. I’m not saying the pricing is right. I’m just suggesting a method of how they did it.

I don’t know what the big deal with Fleetwood is because I think Rory’s 8.7k pricing is more ridiculous.

The only thing i could argue is that at least with rory there is some opportunity cost with a lot of guys in that range i want to roster. There is literally nobody under fleetwoods price i have any interest in.

No Molinari was an easy pick pre-tournament, his ball striking game was built for this course. He just didn’t bring it with him on the plane.
I was more referring to the 170 something dupes that all had dufner.

    This contest is peak DK.

VALUE ADDED” contest that still has 6.5% rake after all is said and done (so even a value added promotional low stakes contest STILL has a higher rake % than high stakes contests).

which high stakes contests have a rake of under 6.5%?

I think there is tons of value in fading Rory and Fleetwood in the weekend contests.

They are obviously mispriced relative to their main contest prices. But they are going to be so attractive and there are so many comparable golfers in their ranges.

I’m going with 7-8% Fleetwood and 0% Rory in the $8.

I’m heavy on Beef, Wiesberger and Kang in the Fleetwood area and heavy on Koepka/Mats around Rory.

    That 61k , 1500 country club is 5.48.

They don’t rake the 1%‘ers. Its the opposite of the US tax system. DK is raking the low end guys like us.

Anything $530 and up is pretty much always between 5-6% (for example, the $1500 Weekend Golf Country Club has a prize pool of $61000 from $64500 paid in (3.5K in rake for an effective rate under 6%). When DK bumped the ‘regular’ rake from 10% to 15% the high stakes rake rate did not increase.

    wow, that’s interesting

I never looked into that. I figured the high buyin stuff would also be a rake of 15% or so.

No one would be playing those if they were raking them same as the low buy ins imo. These 15% rake tournies aren’t worth playing unless you take one down every so often. Playing a bunch of lineups trying to return a few percent over time doesn’t work.

ah, I see. Yeah, that’s what makes the gap so unreasonable. 6% vs. 10% makes a lot more sense than 6% vs. 15%

Why is Fleetwood only $7300 for Weekend golf. Is that a mistake?

Because he had Zero birds in Round 1, has made just 2 birds in 36 holes and didn’t get his first one for over 27 holes plus he is the lowest scoring player in the field who made the cut (16.5) and is getting lapped by the likes of JT and others who missed the cut.

Higher buy in’s are raked less in Dfs just like poker tables and many casino games have been for ever. Standard practice.

I was talking about cash games, but for GPP, yea since ownership matters, there’s more to consider. But you probably shouldn’t be fading Rory for cash.

Yea, I was posting this last week, but then some pros got mad. I think it’s just as easy, if not easier, to cash a min cash in these higher buy-ins and also to possibly win them, relative to the number of entries (so like if Country Club has 1000 entires, Dogleg has 10000 entries, I don’t think the top CC score beats the Dogleg score more than once every 10 times). This is due to what you mention, the lower rake, but also the higher cash line % for the cutoff.

I know for NBA, I played maybe a 333 tournament once a month when I felt like it with a single entry or when there was overlay and my cash rate was way higher than my average cash rate across my multiple entries in the 27/33 dollar tourney. My top score/cash was lower, but that was more a function of number of entries. For MLB, I don’t have enough of a sample size to say anything, but I think it hasn’t been worse in the 5 times or so this season when I played a 300+ tourney.

I still prefer the 10 entries in a 33 dollar tourney than 1 in the 333 simply because I like to have a lower variance, but I don’t think it’s necessarily harder, especially with A) the lower rake and B) a higher cash line. That’s why I was encouraging you guys to try it out sometime, but then STLCardinals got mad at me for saying it, but I’m not saying anything false.

Yes, go to page 95. Apparently the guy has a Twitter too. I don’t have one, but if you guys do, you can troll him probably.

People like him and EM2 need to be called out for lying.

He is essentially winning the thunderdome. 2nd place, but 1st has only 5/6.

For some reason he did not enter that same lineup in the club pro. Can only see 1 lineup he has in that, and to be fair it does have knox on it. But Day is nowhere to be found.

Since when does it matter what you do in the first two days, aside from making the cut, when looking at weekend golf?

Not a ton of birdies going around in the evening round yesterday.
