I am so excited to get this started. Entered a single bullet in the Milly Maker, 10 lineups in the $4 contest on DK, and 2 lineups in the $6 contest on FD. The most I have wagered on golf ever. I just want to wake up tomorrow morning 7am EST and not be out of it and I’ll be happy. Well maybe have a cut sweat Friday as well.

Thanks for the list of Euro’s guys.

I think some of us are getting confused on the “not enough euros in their lu” thing. I have looked at tournament history and in the past five years there have only been a handful of LESSER KNOWN EUROS who have finished top ten:

    2012 Colsaerts T7
    2012 Aiken T7
    2014 Dubuisson T9
    2015 Niebrugge T6
    2016 Kjeldsen T9

and Kjeldsen is pretty well known. Of course you’ll find more who finished top twenty but i don’t think it’s a good idea to throw random euros in who you know nothing about. Not saying anyone suggested that but I think it’s a little confusing…at least on my part.

Yea I don’t think picking random Euros is a good idea (it’s like picking random Americans – who’s going to pick Roberto Castro and William McGirt?). However, I think they are probably referring to the mid-level Euros in terms of pricing.

Someone like Martin Kaymer as an example. Not saying I’m going to choose him, but just throwing his name out as a mid-tier priced player who’s primarily on the European Tour. However, Kaymer is a household name here in the US, so I don’t think people will overlook him. Tyrell Hatton has a higher chance to be overlooked, but then if you click on his last 4 weeks, even if he was American, I wouldn’t choose him.

Lmao, yes you are correct. I’m so overwhelmed with names and stats I can’t think straight. And that reinforces my point, thanks :)

I think Daniel Berger and Bill Haas are the only two players in this field who’s dad is still more famous then them. Maybe I should do a team just with both for fun. If they win, they can get off of the my dad is more famous than me list.

If you go back to 2008 Shane Lowry was a EURO golfer at that time exclusively (I think) and he won the whole damn thing

This is exactly me 13 entries in the $ 4 fore. Single bullet in MM. Couple lower entry single entries and 7 QA, 3 short game. Not a lot by most of you guys but it’s my most ever . Gl fellow RGErs

Right country wrong golfer. Shane Lowry would have been in college (or they call it university) then.

Plenty of top Euro golfers have done well at the British. Look at Stenson from last year. I think bluebroker was talking about the random guys.

Yes, I’m probably nobody. I do find it interesting how many people reveal themselves after a big win. EDIT

Obviously I can’t handle this place, so I’m going to leave now. If Jim K has to ask questions about my intent, I’m doing something wrong. I don’t want to hassle the guy who had done so much for this forum. Best of luck to everyone!!

You can leave us that easy. This forum is a fraternity of individuals and when the dust gets kicked up we defend the pack. Obviously it read different than what you intended for it to mean. Grab a beer and hang out. We have this sexy sheep in the basement you havent met yet and slpanthers is the only person with the key to the door.

But Lowry is a guy most ppl know and I’m having trouble going back that far and relating it to 2017. That’s the main reason I’m fading Casey. I know where he finished in 2008 and I’m aware many like him. I usually play him in majors but his tournament history the past five years is troubling for me.

Actually Casey is interesting. To me, he is NOT a Euro Player. I intentionally didn’t put him in the list above that I had.

This is probably insignificant because he has plenty of experience playing in Europe when he was much younger, but I consider Casey more of a PGA/American player than say even Rickie Fowler in recent years (2015-2017 now). Fowler to me is more of a Euro Player than Casey. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Casey got US Citizenship within the next few years. I know he hates the European Ryder Cup team and probably could care less about helping them. You can google “Paul Casey Ryder Cup” and you can read the full story.

Again, probably insignificant, but could possibly explain his recent struggles at the British. I still will have Casey though. I just wanted to bring that up with Casey to share some context. I know there is a non-American flag next to him, but you might as well have an American flag next to Casey as he plays less in Europe than Fowler or Reed or Kuchar, etc. in last 3 years.

EDIT: Sorry to clarify, it looks like Casey does still want to make the Ryder Cup team, but he’s just ineligible because he isn’t an European Tour member. I know he was pretty pissed off about it, but I guess he’s not as pissed now. It looks like during a recent interview, he says he still wants to make it, and he believes if he outright wins the British, he can skip the “European Tour credential” to make the team.

Not as many as should have. It was exactly like what happened at john deere last week with a random joker making a bogey on the last hole to drop the cutline to scoop massive chalk.

Here is the full list of guys that shouldnt have played the weekend. Cut ended up +4 and the guy that jacked his last hole moved them all in right on the number. Watson ended up on winning milly lineup that stirred up all the controversy on the guys who cheated to enter 300 lineups together.

    Brandt Snedeker
    Jordan Spieth
    Haydn Porteous
    Bubba Watson
    Harris English
    Danny Willett
    Kevin Chappell
    Ryan Evans
    Jim Furyk
    Paul Lawrie
    Graeme McDowell
    James Hahn
    Patton Kizzire
    Colin Montgomerie
    Kodai Ichihara

Agreed. I’m not knocking Casey (or Lowry for that matter) and I understand why guys are on him. I was heavy on him earlier in the week but his RF at the Open spooked me. By tournament time he’ll probably find a spot or two in my lu’s.

and you were right, I was referring to random euros, I think most ppl here know the bigger names

  • Feibla22

If I only have 6 lineups does it make sense to completely fade Rickie? Seems like if I only put him on like 2-3 lineups, then I’m at a disadvantage to the field with all the combos they cover vs me trying to absolutely nail my other 5 guys. This is non MM. I’m talking tourneys with 500-6K people
