Just saw the Poulter shot now!!! Pure luck

I choose to take this as a very positive omen for the rest of my Open weekend.

  • SirJohnDaly

Yeah what’s up with no shot tracker? Brutal waiting and watching the scoreboard with out it. Damn euros!

  • BlueEdwards

    Bjork or uihlein for showdown?

No shot tracker sure does suck. I can not wait for the day where you can live stream whatever player/group you want.

That will never happen as long as NBC controls all the ownership rights to the golf channel and broadcast coverage outside of primetime. The honestly give no shits about it and is the reason they only show 3 shots between commercials.

I still think if they just set up live webcams all over the course and let the viewers pick the ones they want to stream with absolutely no announcers running their dick traps, people would absolutely love it. Would be much cheaper and more profitable for them even if they added commercials to the stream feeds it would be better than what it is now.

ya i am kind of shocked nobody has tested the profitability of this. I know there are sport purists running things where they need 5 commentators to swoon over the players but I bet you could get a lot of dfs / gamblers to subscribe to a service that was just a camera following each group kinda like the PGA tour live except you just let it roll with no commentary. Couldn’t cost a ton of money to do, just gotta pay like 30 cameramen and then charge subscribers like $10 / month and enjoy your profits. And if it doesn’t work out you just scrap it and it’s not like you invested a ton of money on announcer contracts or whatever else. It’s never gonna happen but I wish someone would try it

I would literally get 0 work done; I would be watching 50 shots a minute like a complete junkie. Maybe it is a good thing the networksunknowingly limit our intake…

Rain all morning tomorrow means target PM guys for showdown? Rose Rahm Thomas Finau and another couple of low owned values that underperformed today?

  • dangasin

This course is way to dry to handle heavy rain. It will be a mudpile

  • Giez

Grace is my only guy I’m worried about, but what is the projected cut now? I think tomorrow will be wild though

Can someone please tell me who has the advantage tomorrow due to weather? Asking for a friend.

latest tee times in the afternoon should have the best of it. The winds are expected to die down into the early evening and the rain should be gone by then

My only real shit for brains pick so far is Matz (have Matz in two—-also have Fisher in one, but given his salary is what it is). I knew better than to play Matz, but like him and figured he was worth a couple of dart throws given the expected low ownership. He looked like total garbage so that’s likely 2/8 that are toast (originally had 7 entries, but did 1 more right before the MM filled).

I don’t play golf much (mostly just the majors), but isn’t it really all about sweating to get your players through the cut first? I’m currently not too concerned about where my guys are at as far as the leaderboard goes. Just want them to make it to the weekend first. Tomorrow should be fun.

Yup, the key is to get 6/6 through the cut, obviously you’d prefer your guys at the top of the leaderboard, but especially in a major with everybody pretty bunched up you shouldn’t worry much about where they are as a couple good rounds will put them right into contention

  • Deltfish

Is there anywhere to look up gambling odds for round 2 only? I can find matchup odds and overall winner odds but nothing for just round 2. Thank you

Herpes is like DFS golf, everything can be going great and then all of the sudden there’s a flare-up.
