I think it EASILY exceeds those numbers

I will agree with that one! You can basically fit him in any lineup you want.

Remember when everyone said be scared of Erin Hills and the rough? Remember when everyone said be careful of Birkdale and the massive wind gusts that could pop up at any time? These guys are professional golfers for a reason. The greens may be fast, but every highly ranked player has seen this before on courses and can deal with it. Don’t think it should effect how you pick players this week. If it does rain and softens up the course each day, the winner will likely go -12 to -15 in my opinion. Without rain, -8 to -10 or so.

especially when everyone drives it 330 yards and hits pitching wedge into every green.

I really hope the tilt is directed towards Rory.

Yes I agree they can deal with it BUT…..you may never hit out of the rough at Erin Hills or it may be limited, you may have to deal with the wind at Birkdale but it was only for less than half the holes. I can guarantee you this week you will have to deal with fast greens for 72 holes or at least you hope it’s 72 holes. You can’t avoid the fast greens like you can the rough at Erin Hills. Over time of 72 holes the better putters will prevail. The best putters have been Fowler and Koepka. Day, Spieth and McIlroy all have the ability to be great putters. Day showed signs last week. Spieth is well know for great putting but has been off with his putting game. McIlory can putt, not as good as Spieth but this has been the missing part of his game in recent weeks. These five players are not worried about the greens.

To expand on this, Erin Hills and Royal Birkdale’s biggest defense was the wind. Erin Hills had WIDE fairways. The wind didn’t show up for a few days in each of the tournaments which took away the courses biggest defense. Quail Hollow’s biggest defense isn’t weather related. The course is LONG, the bermuda rough will play thick, the greens are fast, and the course has been changed to a Par 71. James Hahn won this event in 2015 at -9 on a Par 72. Change that to a Par 71 and his score is -5. However, a player like McIlroy or Mats last week can click on a given round and go low.

Has a “bad” putter ever won at Augusta? Serious question….

Sergio just won, Bubba, Adam Scott, Phil, Vijay…. I wouldn’t consider any of those guys “good putters”

Who will be the four highest owned players to tilt the forum Thur and Fri? For me I believe it will be Scott, Casey, Hoffman and Finau.

I started most of my fd lineups with Rory, Brooks, Daniel and xander. So I’ll go with those 4.

Well Scott and Vijay both won with what is now a banned anchored putter and when Bubba and Phil won they were actually really good at putting.

I don’t see it being that high. I’ll say 12-14% in GPP’s. Maybe higher if it was 1st round only.

Very hard to judge the Hoffman/Casey/Berger/Pieters ownership – seeing a few projection sets that have all 4 between 15-25% which doesn’t seem right as I think a lot of people will either take just 1 guy from 8600-7500 or jump the range entirely (Rory/Hideki or Rory/Fowler puts this range almost out of play, along with many other popular top 2 combos). I guess some people will do a ‘balanced’ LU with 4 of these guys or some nonsense like that, which makes stacking 2 or 3 guys from 8600+ plus and jumping to 7K even more appealing.

Per fantasynational, Phil is the #1 ranked putter on Bermuda grass in the last 50 rounds.

Finau and Rahm this week for $10 each. Finau 100-1 and Rahm 22-1. Brooks was also 22-1 at the Rio.

I will miss certain parts of DFS and others not so much.

Hey Cy! Good to have you back. With only 3 golfers on your card it will be hard for them to go +33.
