How is Molinari seventh in strokes gained off the tee in the last 36 rounds, and still 16th in the last 24 (getting this from fantasy national) makes me like him

  • nicholasmarsh

FanDuel $7K – $7.5K so tough! Mickeltits (7.5), Fleetgoat (7.4), JT (7.4), Grace (7.3), RCB (7.2), Fat Pat (7.2), Berger (7.1), Finau (7.0); am I crazy for leaning JT? He’s so volatile, but he has a T10 at Quail Hollow and is currently 7th SG: ATG.

Also need to know if Jordan L. Smith is really playable? Only 4.6 on FD and public has no idea (I think).

Any guys you can think of that excel in hitting draws of the tee?

All the players in the field can hit cuts or draws. . . I think you might be looking for driver accuracy stat. . . One thing that will stand out is ball flight, but I don’t think that will matter much as we won’t have much wind this week.

Personally, I think he is worth some GPP love. I’m doing that.

Right there with you! Molinari only one not in a “core” but will heavily owned by me.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

  • Mizzou311

Can’t believe there isn’t any Ryan Fox love this week. I know some loved him going into the Open, but THIS is a course that is a better fit for him than Birkdale was.

Yeah, Molinari is going to have to chip in for par on those long par 4’s

At least he’ll always be approaching from the fairway. Driving accuracy is pretty high

Molinari shows up in the strokes gained off the tee because he is one of the most accurate hitters in the entire golf world right now. He is in the bottom 25% in distance though. He is also way up the scale on gir and is consistent. He only contends in weeks that he gets the putter going and this week not many people will just knock the bottom out if the cup so his disadvantage in the greens isnt as great as normal. But i just couldnt stomach him missing 8 birdie putts inside 12 feet tomorrow.

Listening to pga radio and im not sure who they are interviewing but he just said a player in his group today got a settled down lie in the rough and with a full swing only moved the ball 4 ft. Bermuda is pretty gnarly and thick i could see some players hurting themselves trying to take long iron shots out of it this week.

I wonder when the first comment about DJ’s back will come out of a commentator’s mouth tomorrow

He is the exact opposite end of the scale in driving accuracy as molinari. Big time bomber though so if you dont mind him only hitting 35% of the fairways then go for it.

You can take Rory and all 4 of those guys pretty easily. Leaves you like 7300 for your last golfer.

I think that will be a very popular build.

Lol who sent you my cash lineup?

Yeah that makes sense, I’m trying to decide if I should go him or Webb, seems like they both suck at putting but Molinari gains more strokes off the tee because of his accuracy, like you said

    Spieth press cof comments….
Going to be tough to have short birdie putts. The greens are firm and not holding.
Balls in the fairway stop were they land, no roll.
Rough is brutal, we don’t see this thick Bermuda rough, last place was East Lake.
This is going to be one of the most challenging tracks we play.

  • Dunzor

Milly Maker is only half full with about 18 hours to go….I think we may finally get some overlay (not that it really matters since all the prize pool is going to that first place anyway). Even with a lot of the max entry guys waiting to enter I don’t see them getting another 50K entrants before lock.

  • skankinmat

What in the world is going on with the DK page? The layout just changed on the lineup edit page?

Yup once again the guys on PGAtour radio were all over this on Monday. Really think putting is neutralized this week. Ball Strikers for me

Having a tough time deciding between Lovemark and Reed. Any thoughts here? I like both but feel like Lovemark might run out of stream at some point and this could be the week. Love his length but his iron stats from 175 – 200+ aren’t great and think GIR is going to be a premium. Can we avoid those distances with his length off the tee? Reed on the other hand might have his weaknesses around the green mitigated this week.

    Any thoughts?

I doubt there will be any overlay

Hope so, that lineup is DOA. Not saying it’s bad, but it isn’t winning the MM.
