I don’t think I can use last year’s players performance as any indication of this years outcome. The conditions were incredibly difficult and there was a ton of good old fashioned bad breaks.

Jam are you willing to put your World Championship Tag team, Pygmy-Dwarf Bull-Dyke, Flyweight title Belt up for grabs in another H2H? I want that belt back.

The Casey WD made me fill in with Rahm. His one showing here last year was not a MC, but a MDF. He was 3 shots off the lead going into the weekend, and shot an 82 on Saturday. Let’s hope he got all his bad mojo out with that one round.

I did the same. I was heavy on him last year when he went full Smylie but was still considering him this year – he was just initially my last cut.

    Going 20-25% now though!

so far ive made 40 lineups in the PGA 700k 5th major classic – Hopefully i will stumble onto something that will make the weekend interesting

I was trying to search for a gif that resembled my feelings about Rahm being a “mental midget” at a course that requires focus – this was the closest I could find

BIF and/or others, what are your thoughts on Reavie? His scrambling stats and driving accuracy seem to fit well here? He hasn’t played in a while and hasn’t been good since earlier this year. Think he is worth taking a shot on?

    Why can’t SWK T10 here?

  • JimKronlund

Further below is a posted I did 3 weeks ago right before the Valero Texas Open.
It was about Chappell’s Back injury, and Casey’s Hip injury (now he WD’s here with a “Back Injury”?).
Chappell was priced at $9300 at the Valero Texas Open and ended up T30, 72, 72, 67, 74. It turned out to be a good complete fade decision. Now Chappell is priced at $7400(a very enticing price). Is he priced that low because he is still considered injured? I have to stick with my policy of not taking injured golfers or golfers with credible info that they were recently injured. I’ll take my lumps if they do well. Overall I have gained much more by sticking with my policy then I have by being burnt by it.
Casey did not play in the Valero and was MC the week prior at the RBC Heritage where he was priced at $11,300. Casey then played Wells Fargo Championship and T5. His salary was $8,900. He has the same $8900 salary here before his WD because of a Back injury. My question is it a back or hip injury? Is it the same injury? Is it a case of athletes not fully disclosing an injury?

My post 3 weeks ago before the Valero Texas Open.

On a player that I am off again for the third straight week and will not take a chance on is Chappell. I dont care what he did here last year. In the last 3 tournaments he WD from WGC, with a back injury. Then MC the next 2 tournaments. Not by a little, but by a lot. (for a player with his talent).
The combined scoring for his last 2 tournaments (4 rounds in total):
    13 Birdies, 9 Bogies, 7 Double Bogies.
Add to that, his Salary went from $6900 at the Masters, to $7900 at the RBC. Now its $9300. And I bet he will still be highly owned. There are a ton of players that are playing at mid season form at prices that are $1000 less. I feel stronger this week on a complete fade of Chappell then I did the last 2 tournaments that I completely faded him. Same thing applied to Casey and his hip injury. Finau’s foot can be frozen, backs and hips cannot. I am also not worried about fading any of the salaries above Chappell.
Always the same caveat. Everyone needs to come up with their own risk/reward decision on Chappell.
    This is only my opinion.

#1,#2, and #4 in the world priced where you can include them in basically any team. And there is absolutely no reason why Rahm can’t win this

that’s what I said last year… then the 82 to mdf…..That my friend was a total buzz kill for me. No matter how much intoxicating materials I consumed, I still couldn’t get wasted enough to forget.

fyi – DJ suffers from the Saturday shit rounds too. A number of others can be counted.
I don’t chalk it up to variance, I think Saturday at this event…they do something with hole placement that F’up our hero’s… and its not a one off thing.

I’ll have some exposure to him. Probably 15-20% out of 40 lineups.

He can. Two new coaches helping him on an array of things with his game. Cold putter basically gifted the win away at Harbour Town. He can top 10. I’ve loosened my grip on mt Si Woo fan card but he can top 10 IF he brings his game

    Or

Jon Rahm is doing pretty well in his career, proving to mental midgets everywhere that they too can succeed. Or he just isn’t a mental midget.

For sure – he has the set of skills that has been successful here but like you said, he has not been good for a while. It’s a tough course to get healthy again at but his accuracy, around the green and grind are all good fits.

With a similar set of tools and slightly more expensive price point, I’m looking at Ryan Moore.

Anyone else think the euro golf quarter arcade is 9+ hours away from an overlay

Its Euro golf but us cheap guys rarely get the chance at overlay.

No doubt he is a great player but at same time when things don’t go his way because of a bad break/bounce or when he presses too hard and it fails, he implodes. It’s just the way he is wired – Jordan and JT whine and then usually come back with a birdie or six. Rahm explodes, bangs clubs and then usually stacks another couple bogies on top of the ones he just made. Rickie often does the same thing without the temper tantrum. They are all wired a bit differently….

Speaking of Euro quarters, I saw they had a couple US Open Milly ticket $0.25 satty’s.

I only played 1 Euro lineup – missed the Happy Meal but got into the satty’s and the $5 GPP
