well, late starters today may get a bit better edge tomorrow if winds pick up late afternoon—there is always hope

  • tristanwolf

Just checking in now. Worst single bullet ever for me, thankfully I just put in a single ticket to the $4. I have Hideki and Phil, and my team is at +16 overall ha.

lol that’s impressive. my best squad has 5 guys at -24 with three t1 and …phil +7

Holy shit the leaders in the big $5 tourney have 335 points already! WTF. I HATE these tournaments that are birdie fests.

At +3 or even +2 ending today it will be difficult to make the cut w/o taking some chances tomorrow. Gonna need a round in the 60s.

Nah, the 2 and +3 are definitely in it and I wouldn’t count out +4 or even a +5 as long as you play in the am. As you saw late this afternoon the course difficulty can change quickly with minimal wind. The am players had the best conditions you could ask for today. The great thing about this course is it a risk reward course and you can still shoot a 67/68 while many are shooting 72.

Reed and Sergio blowing shots killed a top 100 lu for day 1… ugh

  • tristanwolf

wtf phil just said he had some health and energy issues?

Well 3 shots is pretty important. Difference in no more water balls and giving yourself a mulligan.

And reed I think will bounce back tomorrow with a nice round.. he played pretty good overall

ahh misleading though 6 guys t1 all getting the bonus win points, a lot prob have 3-4 that could change in a hurry. keep hope alive!

still looking for thoughts on tomorrow though… i think i’m gonna anchor my squads with webb strokes gained putting good all year

right i get ya. just saying he can still get it back and is a safe bet for cut vs someone like speith or even reed who may be sweating the cut.

I don’t do that showdown jazz but if I were it would be a.m. players and the first few pm groups. Wind is suppose to be up slightly more tomorrow than today so I would expect the pm to struggle more than the pm today.

for me, yes. 5th highest owned at 20%. next 5 down to tiger semi chalk.

I agree if he is the 5th highest owned. Really weird ownership this week.

I think +3 is gonna be really tough to make the cut. Spieth at +3 and Fowler at +2 are really a couple of only a handful that might have a shot

  • sox9

Molinari helped himself w/a late mini-rally but he has work to do as well.

  • JimKronlund

Is 6 players at -6 really considered a birdie fest?

  • sox9

    don’t think stanley makes it.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

Too many lineups to know for sure what I really need to happen tomorrow…hopefully a Mc doesn’t ruin whatever is highest closing tomorrow…
Guessing Hadwin and Thomas will be keys for me, so hopefully they get through tomorrow. Like I said coming into the week, just want an interesting weekend and happy if I can turn any profit…and anything beyond that is a bonus. After today that seems like a reasonable goal, so Please DFS Gods do not set me up for another nut kick tomorrow…please…pretty please…

Reed didnt play that bad…he had few bad shots on the back 9 that led to bogeys..but also just missed a few birdie putts to get them back..

    Sergio got rattled late

  • hbomb57

Sneds anchoring my Pig LU with his minus 10 and devilish ending. EDIT +10

Ya kinda, I mean most courses you don’t get that except for a one or two of go low guys, but the fact that not only did 6 guys go 66, but there were a ton of 67s and 68s as well. It certainly leveled off a bit towards the end of the day, but even the guys who finished around E, -1, -2 are making a whole bunch of birdies and like just had a blow up hole or two since there are lots of DB and worse lurking aroudn this course

Damn it. Went to my highest DK lu score, it’s in 27th place in the QA, and I have freaking Fowler on it.
So I amend my past post, Hadwin and Thomas will be key, but now I realllly need Fowler to get his act together tomorrow too) Please and thank you Rickie…
