    Thanks BigEZ952

LOL super milestone get more than 345 golfers in the top 5.
3 weeks with a solid 100% core on 150 LU’s isnt too hard. now if you only play 20 LU’s a week you got 460 chances. Should be interesting and periodically people will have opinions and revise them as the contest goes on. I think everyone should give a really rough estimate of how many milestones they expect to earn. A free guessing game.

Yeah the theme of these achievements always seem to favor the guys who play the full 150+ lineups a week. That is really the only way to ever hit the super milestone levels. Sports like NBA, NHL, or MLB which have crazy long seasons and play every day at least always offer 25,000 crowns for the Ironman bonus which gets automatic Diamond status. NFL and now PGA have a weak ironman bonus since they are weekly games.

I need to start adding a /S at the end of my posts. I was making a joke about everyone who keeps commenting about the soft pricing, going back to last week when prices first posted there have just been a ton of soft pricing posts.

popular comment to start every week. Sorry, I always get in trouble assuming sarcasm and taking words literal. I use it often but people dont get it or it was just plain bad. I still try tho :)

personally I give little credence to these posts because I havnt yet done my due diligence yet.

So what’s your point, you think it’s not softly priced?

Since there is “soft” pricing talk and 6/6 talk…. Just some food for thought….Ly results..

    14% 6/6
23 players had a 10% or higher ownership of which 18 made the cut

Last year 13 players scored 90 or more DK points
Last year 7 players scored 100 or more DK points

Of those 18 players out of 23 who made the cut at 10% or higher ownership…
4 scored 90 or more points
2 scores 100 or more points

For the players who scored 90-99 points owned less than 10% there ownership was….
    6%,9%,7%,5%,5%,2%,1%,1%,1%

For those players who scored 100+ points owned less than 10% there ownership was….
    1%,1%,1%,2%,1%

They priced Tiger as if we went into a time machine and came out in the year 2000

He is just joking, busting chops, like we all think we will get 6/6.. That if the pricing is so soft, we obviously all think we can make great lineups… Nothing more…
That is how it feels with this pricing…. As the week goes on, you start to doubt those LOCKS you had on Monday.

  • Pbasniper

There are 144 guys playing including the top 50 in the world, how do you begin to price that? Add the fact they released pricing before this week was up and you got guys who played excellent this week going down in price, I mean the winner is down $400 from his price last week. I agree with timusbr that every week there are guys you identify as under priced but throw in this weeks field and early pricing and all of the sudden it seems like there’s a ton of value. I’d use Jason Kokrak as an example, coming off back to back top 10’s seems to be in good form and a lot of guys riding him on this forum. He’s got 4 MC, a WD and a 46th here and went from $8300 last week to $6700 this week. Is he priced soft compared to the field? Compared to other guys within $100 of his salary? I’d just be curious what % of the field the average DFS player posting here would consider to be priced soft, I don’t think as a whole the slate is priced that bad with what work I’ve done so far. There’s value to be had like any other week but you can’t just shrug and go crazy on Kokrak because he’s $6700 and looks softly priced….well you can but beware.

I would say they aren’t THAT accurate on an absolute basis but they are pretty accurate on a relative basis.

I mean if theyre projecting a guy to be 22% he can easily be 26% or something. But guys who are chalky or projected low owned generally they fall somewhat in line with reality

I find golf seems to vary quite a bit between different sized fields/contests anyway

Golf has become extremely competitive due to the quality of players on tour. It’s tough to finish in the T20 in the same tourney back to back years. Let’s see the results for the Players recently.

    18/17 7 players completed b2b T20
    17/16 2 players completed b2b T20
    16/15 3 players completed b2b T20
    15/14 3 players completed b2b T20

Seems that last year was a heavy outlier that we typically don’t see. Over that same time period, 14-18, only two players have finished in the T20 three consecutive years and they are Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott. I would be extremely cautious of getting a T20 out of the following players as not only did they finish b2b in the most recent years but they will be going for the very difficult three consecutive years of T20. That is unless you are happy with a 21st or worse finish.

    Dustin Johnson
    Brooks Koepka
    Webb Simpson
Adam Scott who has already accomplished this once
    Ian Poulter
    Alex Noren
    Rafa Cabrera-Bello

I dont see how a high finish last year would make them less likely to do well this year.

I do see how their high finish last year might make others overrate their chances of finishing high again this year

Glad to finally have PGA Achievements, but Top Weekend Scorer and Ace Achievements are garbage (love that they role out the week after the Molinari Ace). No showdown achievement is also weak. Any word on whether duplicate lineups count or only “unique” lineups? Seems like duplicates counted in NFL but not in MLB or something like that.

This is a reasonable point since we don’t want to fall into that gambler’s fallacy of thinking that just because a guy T20 last year he is less likely to do so again, however I agree that based on Coops data points we can probably say that it is also not predictive and therefore relying on course history for this event is probably not that useful, especially if good course history drives up ownership
