watching the IU NEB Bball game and NEB coach left game early not feeling well. I’d have to say he didn’t look too good but his team was getting thumped at the time. I sure hope there’s nothing to it.

rumors now that Hoiberg was transferred to local hospital for precautionary reasons. Yikes.

  • byo34

If we see Spieth and Mickelson above 5%, then we know some NBA guys have came over to the golf side.

  • Steverino01

Ugh I’ve been so caught up in this coronavirus crap, I still haven’t made my lineups. Planning on 4 this week, 1 in the $20 and 3 in the $3. Not planning on putting the Happy Meal in the $20 because my Happy Meal is always the worst…lol

any threat that PGA will cancel this?
has Roth made a weather report?

people have said no threat…..things change….Maybe they play this week, maybe they dont down the line. This is the start or last 2 weeks were the start and what it looks like in 2 weeks nobody knows, but its easier to look at the bad side.

anyone who downplays this hasn’t looked into what took place in Italy and its going to get bad in several other countries as well. Doctors are triaging patience that are going to live or die. That scares me because I am not so rich, BIF’s got nothing to worry about, he can buy his own medical equipment and have a private nurse at home in a worse case scenario.

  • Sleazygreazy

PGA will have to answer a lot of questions tomorrow and be under a lot of pressure.

I would think there is a threat that this event is cancelled. If i could get my entry fees back on FD I would, but the contest is already full.

Also good chance they don’t let spectators on the course. If I was a gambling man, I’d say 50/50 they play. If you twisted my arm, I’d say it’s cancelled.

  • MrBreeze

our local county school system just banned spectators from all sporting events, plays – no audience. Some of my college student employee’s are home this week working over spring break, one by one they are being told not to come back to school and prepare for online classes until on or about April 4th

how much? all four rounds will be played, take it to the bank

If they wanted they could ban fans from attending, but unless a player tests positive there is no reason they should cancel this week since everyone is already there, it’s a flagship event and the players could get there rounds in while only being in contact with their caddie so no risk of exposure.

If things continue getting worse I could see future events getting cancelled the next few weeks since travel will become difficult but that doesn’t affect this week since everyone is already on site

I can’t see it being cancelled – worst case they say no spectators

No physical conduct being players nor with fans; the sport is played outside – the safest place in America besides under your sheets in bed at home, may be on a golf course.

  • BBWC_10

I would say Golf is a little different. There is no contact between golfers. You are not sharing water bottles or sweating on each other. You can stay 10 feet away from others without an issue. I’d say the Tourney is played with possibly no fans allowed.

It’s going to get all messed up here. USA has only done 10k tests total, China was doing 200k every day. We are not disposed to excepting of any kind of governmental controls on our mobility, and it took pretty heavy handed mobility controls to bend the infection curve in Italy and China. If we aren’t going to test people, and we can’t keep the virus isolated, a whole ton of people are going to get it. Bif’s 50 and healthy, he could deal with it without medical assistance at all. The problem is that it crushes the elderly and compromised, and I don’t see any evidence that it isn’t going to get around enough for a whole bunch of elderly and compromised people getting it.

Fair points, just seems like the dominos are falling with the NCAA and NBA, if the PGA is planning on canceling any future events, why wait? Huge liability. I hope it’s not cancelled! I’ll have to go the casino, LOL – a great place to avoid contagious diseases eh?

  • timusbr

my guess is they play the full tourney this week but I wouldn’t place any bets either way next week or the future. and this is unprecedented. sure its overdoing things but thats how you beat it. I am telling you this is a life changing thing. people will change how they think in some ways. So what you think is safe enough….that will change

OH 1 more thing, I thought it would be a cold day in hell when the national guard was called out to quarantine a hugely populated area. And I doubt NY’ers can be contained by weekend warriors

hey I am a hermit anyway, I am already in home quarantine LMAO

I was waiting for DK to offer something before throwing in my ticket.

Enter at least one lineup into the $2.25M THE PLAYERS
Millionaire between 8:00PM – 9:00PM ET and get an
$8 NBA Ticket for Monday, 3/16.

I have some bad news for those of you who did this offer

  • lfn1992

I ask this semi-seriously – how can DK stay in business if there are no sporting events for the next couple of months?

  • Dunzor

I’m lucky, I already worked from home 1-2 days a week and my company is being really good about everything so I can WFH as much as I want and they gave me an extra docking station and stuff for my laptop setup at home. So I’m gonna be chilling at home and watching multiple live groups the next couple days

Sports will be back, they’ll survive, I can’t imagine their overhead is all that much…a bunch of 20 somethings who respond to emails with stock answers, servers, promotions, etc.. A bit of an extreme example but what if Vegas closed for a month, you think the Venetian is gonna close down?

I’ve come from the nba! Barring gifts, my 20 dollars into the Milly, you guys can spend it wisely.
