Anyone ever play the new snake draft format on DK? Is it fun/did you have any success?

The draft is the part where the action is. All of the drafts are different.

3 player is all the studs are drafted with individuals drafting a favorite. My 3 player drafts were never in question after day 2.

6 player seems more interesting, because you go down to 36 total golfers. After the first 2-3 rounds of studs, the draft, becomes a hodgepodge of picks.

12 player, you should be flexible and do some prep. In the WGC, every player was chosen, so who drafted first was stuck with the last remaining player. but in a 154 player field that is less than half remaining.

to me its been a crapshoot. got stuck with some pitfalls on LU’s I liked and they died. Had LU’s I didnt like take cash. So its more of a time consuming game to occupy yourself while waiting for the action, rather than a money making sharp game. I think sharps would have the advantage on a 3 player draft. Mostly because non sharps tend to go for gut picks of their favorites.

I figured they’d both be around 7-8 with their recent form and low prices as people use them to make room for a higher priced guy

    cmon Bif 7-8% for a 6300/6400 guy.

how often does that happen in almost a full field. 4-5% is the max I have seen and I think that was not a full field. 2% would be high at that salary.

Rob Bolton put Andrew Putnam in his power rankings (at number 20). By far the lowest salary on his list.

Wow, The 150 person Happy Meal is almost set

    148/150

If I have a fault in this contest…..It is that I am scared to push the limits in favor of guaranteed filling. I dont now if we are ready to go for 150 every week. Its clear the people are out there, but many joined this week, just because we asked them to help out. 😁 Thanks players

I dont want to abuse that good will, because We will need it again….in time.
Perhaps the next shot is the Masters. Have given some of my reasoning, and accept others ideas. Will bend to a force of will by the forum.

How about James Hahn down low? Looks like he consistently hovers right around the cutline here, but his golf game has also had a nice resurgence.

When they are badly mispriced, you see them over 5%

Werenski was 2% last week at $6100; you don’t think that warrants at least 5% this week with an almost zero price bump as salaries were out after 3rd round ?

    Hideki/Si Woo/Harris playing together.

Combined 23-under in first round last year.

😉, it might warrant something. But the nature of the beast (ownership, projected or real) says 2% in a 154 player field. What gentlemans bet should we try on this scenario?

closer to 2% …Tim Wins, closer to 5% Bif wins.
Also the contest I choose is the minimax contest, or if you prefer the $5 big Gpp. (not any of the high dollar low entry contests).

Edit: as a skeptic of ownership projections, We should play this game every week on a high, medium, and low salary guy.

Is there a way on DK to see what your exposure is to each golfer?

Right now I’m tabulating like a pilgrim and searching each one and making my own spreadsheet. Is there an easier way (without paying for a service)?

I don’t understand your reluctance to pay for a service that provides tools that will make things easier on you.

    a paid subscription…
This is a feature in most paid subscriptions.

I do my LU’s on excel, so a copy paste sort count gives it to me pretty quick.
If your LU’s are in DK only…pull your LU’s from the edit entries before lock and do the above.
That is my low tech cheap process, probably a better software way to go about it but I am behind the learning curve.

Because I don’t really care if I am 77 or 83 percent Will Z – I know I’m in that range somewhere, I just am bored, lineups are more or less set and I’m curious.

Generally speaking, I think I’m just stubborn about it and I don’t want to pay for it if there is an easy solution. Also, I don’t want to be swayed but “expert” projections and opinions. Not by any means saying I’m smarter than them or better at this than they are, I just fear reading the articles will send me down paths I would have never gone. Doesn’t really make sense I am sure, but that’s where I’m at on that.

by each one, I meant each golfer.

Go to lineups, search “Homa” Count them, 4, 8, 12, 16, etc…add to spread sheet, repeat for next golfer
