Anyone have ownership on Homa, Z & Niemann? I guess if it’s super low I could scale it back a bit, but that’s no fun

I dont see them as low ownership. Homa and Z have been spectacular of late and Niemann is made for this course. all 3 are cutmakers and should be T30 or better with winning not out of the question. I am still in my evaluation mode and find I have a lot of golfers I am considering. maybe I dont see the bigger picture yet on the ownership.

I am seeing sub ten percent ownership on Bryson at 9700. That cannot be correct. I am not a Bryson guy, I like some of the other guys but he is playing like a psychopath right now. Just ride the wave. A lot of high end guys are scuffling, not a lot of momentum. He is fully engaged, his competitiveness is what you want when you roster someone in DFS.

I’m seeing 15%. Still undecided for me. He can go nuts, but his going nuts can also put him in palmetto bushes and behind pine trees and stuff like that. Certainly a risk that can payoff. I’ll probably stay right around that ownership or lower.

Cant deny he did well last week.
    He was a media sensation.
Take all of him you want. None for me.

cutting to the quick….his big hits were all hype. Just about everyone scored the same on those holes. His putting wasnt all that good…IMHO. Some of the longer misses, seemed to benefit from better angles to the green, bypassing the designed difficulty of the approach shot. Previous week winner is always a fade.

    good luck

    A. I normally agree, but I would say Bryson is the guy this is probably the least valid with.

    B. I usually don’t pay attention to this heading into a major.

These two things being said…I’m not on Bryson this week either.

    RBC Canadian Open cancelled

Tour will create a new US based tournament that week as a one year solution to replace the RBC Canadian.

Covid travel restrictions caused this and they will unlikely have the border/restrictions straightened out by then.

Bryson is a hard fade this week. His attitude will be flying much to high.

Interesting twist and potentially very cool if we get an awesome new course in the rotation for one week only.

For the sake of something different, I threw up 3 beat the forum H2Hs for EURO. If these fill, I will add a few more.

Also, only four spots left in the euro happy meal. Get on it!

How did you end up on jock market? I lost about 50% of my “investment”.

Power to you if you want to ride the lightning, I agree that the typical fade the previous week’s winner logic is not a good reason to fade Bryson if this event were one where he can use his OTT advantage. Tim (perhaps correctly) points out that his Hole 6 drives were more hype than substance, but the thing that jumped out at me was how many times he muscled wedges from deep rough onto the green on tough Par 4’s while others who found the rough 20-30 yards farther out were forced to lay up. Same advantage at US Open/his last win. I don’t think those gains can be had at TPC Sawgrass.

I’ve faded with success at Genesis, faded with indifference at Workday, and faded to my demise at API. Can’t see jumping on here.

I played Max Homa the week after he won. (Also that week, the week before, and every week since). Worked out pretty well.

Agreed but my guess is it’ll be a course we’ve seen before for a major or fed ex event and likely in the Midwest or north east somewhere – with relatively short notice (3 month) going to a known property that can handle a tourney (especially if they are allowing some fans) just makes it easier. Wouldn’t surprise me to see something like Bethpage, TPC Boston or one of the Chicagoland course they have used for majors or Fed Ex events like Conway Farms, Cog Hill or Medinah.

Bison looking at possibly playing 18 by driving onto the 9th fairway. His take on the possible advantage:

It just gives you a better shot into the green, I think, personally, where you can just hit it a little long and you’re always going to be OK,” the eight-time PGA Tour winner added. “Considering if you try and hit the fairway out to the right—it’s probably not worth it. I mean, the cover’s like 310 [yards over the water to the ninth hole], but we’ll see. I just, I look at all options and hopefully there’s an advantage there. But if not, I’ll just hit 4-iron down the fairway and hopefully an 8-iron or 7-iron into the green.

I finally made a little last week, but I only buy one share of each golfer that I try for. I put in $20, got a $20 bonus, and I think I’m at like $49 right now. Really flying high! I guess I should buy more shares of less golfers.

I think one of the obvious choices would have been Whisting Straits, but since the Ryder Cup will be there this year, it doesn’t make sense. I wouldn’t mind a lower class field event at Medinah. Maybe they could go back to Erin Hills?

Looks like the tournament has announced that left of the lake will be an internal OB.

I am pulling my hair out. I like a lot of guys.
    who do I pair up?
Do I go 100% on anyone?
I am top heavy salary wise, how many LU’s Do I make?
Would be nervous picking a SE.

But, I like a 20 LU spread, with these going for SE and 3 ent across. Hoping to catch 1 LU for bucks. I am a bit unsettled, because I got so many ways to jump, and dont know where to go.

Bryson has made the right changes and is 3 yds longer on average than next best (Rory) this year but let’s not pretend he has an advantage every hole. The sixth was fun to watch but he also hit a lot of wayward drives Sunday and was out driven by competitors multiple times. Also Sawgrass doesn’t favor one particular player like API, where Rory, Kokrak and other longer hitters thrived. In short, Morikawa is a more enticing recent winner for me. Just an opinion.

Let us not forget that he is number ONE in par 3 scoring this year, albeit only 26 rounds. He was also 28th last year.

I like being a little above the field on Bryson
