The PLAYERS Championship – TPC Sawgrass

2015 Winning Score -12 Rickie Fowler in a 3-man playoff
To make the 36 hole cut you needed to be Even Par

2014 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par to play the weekend
2013 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
2012 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
2011 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
No that was not a typo…..same winning score 2011-2014 and same cut line the last 5 years !

This tournament marks the return of Jordan Spieth – first tourney since his Masters debacle and the #SB2K16 vacation.

This tourney also annually features one of the strongest fields of the year.

Only 144 players this week and the usual 70 & ties make the cut. With a smaller field, the 6/6% has the chance to be higher than past weeks (based solely on the fact that a higher percentage of field is making the cut).

Last year (2015) there were some big (very BIG) names that missed the cut and that is normal here because just about every hole can be birdied or double bogied. If it’s it anything like last year, there will be carnage that will put us DFS’ers on tilt early.

    2015 Key Missed Cuts
    Daniel Berger CUT 71 74 145
    Brooks Koepka CUT 78 67 145

I absolutely hate when I edit lineups on DK in to a duplicate. They make it way to hard to fix to get back to all unique lineups for my entries.

I’m going to pretend I never saw any of this Kuchar nonsense.

  • brimc123

I reduced exposure in most cash and some GPPs but still kept him in a handful of lineups…

Why the hell would you post your lineup on this forum before the contest locks in?
i’ve seen you mention about 5 times this week you’re in the $400 contest, but you’re doing it wrong if you think posting your your entire lineup is wise. Just paypal me the 400 instead, I could use it!

LOL – There is 0% chance ANYONE in the $400 GPP even cares who I play. I am probably the weakest link in that contest. If someone copies my lineup, may god be with them.

All they have to to do is find a weak spot and one up you to lock you out of 1st place though. That being said good luck on your Reed pick. I got him too.

Mickelson at 4% is semi-shocking given his name and recent form. Also surprised at the Stenson ownership levels given the missed cut last week….

Some guys miss a cut and see ownership drop, but the top few guys don’t – it’s as if people are extra happy they missed it last week and don’t expect it happen again.

Not surprised at Stenson at all. It’s a ball strikers course and he has good course history plus a lot of chatter on him.

But won it in 2007! Also there’s nothing about his game, statistically, that suggests he’s a bad fit for the course. Doubt he’ll win the thing but for those playing and entering multiple lineups weekly I would figure some Mickelson exposure is pretty standard. JMTC.

Yeah, 40% is too much… the GPP I am in I got him at 25%… and I account for 1% of that as hes in all 45 of my LUs

The DK lineup edit/management system is seriously terrible.

When you are on a mobile device, the data you are given is different (better, actually) than when you are on the web. That is so incredibly stupid.
There is the actual page “Lineups” and then there is another view that shows allowed lineups (I think when you import maybe?), and then when you go to enter a contest on the web it does that truly awful horizontal scroll thing.

The horizontal scroll thing doesn’t match the same order as the Lineups page, and neither match any sort of order (like order entered, or alphabetical, or how many lineups they are in, or total salary, etc).
I think what they do is a raw SQL query and just whatever order they get out of that without any order clause. That can vary based on a variety of things (depending on the system, probably based on the last time the index was updated and what the index is on, and what is pulled out in the query).

And then the upload figures (sometimes) don’t match what is in the file – like upload 200 files lineups and it will say you uploaded 201. Even though you didn’t.

If they did nothing else, allowing lineups to be given some sort of identifier which can then be sorted on in that (terrible) horizontal view) would be massively useful and make up for how truly awful their UX is.

  • BIF

We should see lots of guys -1 after 2 holes as both #2 and #11 are Par 5’s and not that long.

Can’t remember if one nine is tougher than the other but you can be a bit more aggressive on back nine with more risk/reward shots. Rory has struggled on the front the last 3 years averaging 37 +1 but killed the back nine averaging 33 -3. I think the back nine is easier if you can avoid disaster at 17 as a bad shot there is most likely Double or worse.

  • walkoff9

Lots of duplicate lineups. A lineup i used $46.6k on has 10 dupes.
