The PLAYERS Championship – TPC Sawgrass

2015 Winning Score -12 Rickie Fowler in a 3-man playoff
To make the 36 hole cut you needed to be Even Par

2014 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par to play the weekend
2013 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
2012 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
2011 winning score -13 Cut was Even Par
No that was not a typo…..same winning score 2011-2014 and same cut line the last 5 years !

This tournament marks the return of Jordan Spieth – first tourney since his Masters debacle and the #SB2K16 vacation.

This tourney also annually features one of the strongest fields of the year.

Only 144 players this week and the usual 70 & ties make the cut. With a smaller field, the 6/6% has the chance to be higher than past weeks (based solely on the fact that a higher percentage of field is making the cut).

Last year (2015) there were some big (very BIG) names that missed the cut and that is normal here because just about every hole can be birdied or double bogied. If it’s it anything like last year, there will be carnage that will put us DFS’ers on tilt early.

    2015 Key Missed Cuts
    Daniel Berger CUT 71 74 145
    Brooks Koepka CUT 78 67 145
    Jason Kokrak CUT 69 76 145
    Matt Kuchar CUT 73 72 145
    Ryan Moore CUT 73 72 145
    Justin Rose CUT 71 74 145
    Jason Dufner CUT 73 73 146
    Harris English CUT 75 71 146
    Danny Lee CUT 73 73 146
    Lee Westwood CUT 76 70 146
    Danny Willett CUT 72 74 146
    Brandt Snedeker CUT 69 78 147
    Jordan Spieth CUT 75 72 147
    Phil Mickelson CUT 73 76 149
    Ryan Palmer CUT 77 72 149
    Jason Day CUT 69 81 150
    Luke Donald CUT 77 76 153

Making the cut is irrelevant if your golfer plays like shit on the weekend

that’s me every week…. I have my guys play decent on Thursday and Friday and then forget how to play the weekend, I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever had guys move up the leaderboard with substantial gains on the weekend, usually they go backwards if anything. But it’s like clockwork, I absolutely dread the weekend play cause I know I’m gonna be fucked

Horschel is really starting to piss me off, he has missed 3 birdie putts in the last 5 holes from 6-8ft, these should almost be automatic, dude should legit be 4 under right now

And promptly shanks his 2nd shot on the next hole to who knows where.

yesterday he said he had never shanked a wedge before, now he has shanked the wedge two days in a row, I love it

I think it was a ST screw up. Had him way right in the unknown, then updated that he was in the green side bunker.

Not sure how that happens, but ill take the par and the BFR is still alive.

and Vegas swimming on 18 by a mile to end the round like complete shit, thanks for that

was Horschel penalized on number 7, says he sank the putt for par but his scorecard shows bogey

Knox getting all those strokes back

currently in 330th in the dogleg (single entry). did a last min switch from kuch and koepka to jacobson/bubba when i heard kuch was sick (bad move)….also have knox so if he had just parred 17 yesterday he would be in 2nd

  • badtrip

Four of ten LU cashing @ gpp. Three of those have Summerhays. Weird that he ends up being so important to my Sunday. I played 2 doglegs, rest $3.00.

One dogleg is dead, the other in the $ but not comfortably so. Need Mats and Summerhays to crush to keep the DL entree in the money.

Horschel misses another 4 footer for par, but Boo Weekley is 5 under through 10 holes, someone riddle me that. I’m gonna kill these mother fuckers!!!

I hope his caddy tells him to throw the ball in the water and proceed directly to the drop zone.
