Real ST is back but only on the Seaside Course so we have to suffer through the bad ST for your Plantation course guys on Thur or Fri

Ahh, second week in a row where Thurston Howell the III has an excellent track record. I see he managed a top 20 at Mayakoba in spite of the cut line sweat. Not sure if I’ll play him again or not. And then there’s VIKTOR HOVLAND, )($&$^@#%.

Hoping the more casual players just see Henley with a 77 round 2 missed cut and don’t know the full story. Would love to get him again this week at 5%.

I should be careful what I wish for – ugh this field is pretty bad; I had assumed with it being the last real event for a while that more top players might come out for it especially those not on Prez Cup teams.

Anybody find out why McCumber WD last week mid-round; I see him listed in the field and was wondering if he was injured, sick or if it was personal stuff ?

All I can find is that he WD citing back pain, can’t find any more details but if he’s back already must’ve been like a muscle spasm or something that he got worked out with massage or physical therapy. Might be good to monitor if there is any news about his pro-am involvement or anything this week

Also guys who have pulled out already this week and have been replaced in the pool:

    Romero
    Gore

Some people call this time of the year ‘the holidays’…but those of here know that it’s really the ‘boredom days’ with nearly 2 months without PGA DFS

I claim foul on the PGA for giving the sea side mafia the last event of the year. I wonder how different this years parties and barbecues are going to change. Its colder, its the beginning of the holidays (already getting flyers on midnight madness sales for black Friday). The mafia hasn’t really been a thing in a couple years, but I have my list (if I can find it), been going light, why night stick to a theme.

I’m in the contest! I don’t what I’m in for, just picked six random people. I’ll try to fix it up later. (OTOH, might do better with six randos!?)

    Hmmm ?
It was the last event last year too on Nov 15-18 with only the novelty events after it (World Cup, Hero, The “Match“, etc..)

Hope shot tracker will be back this week

Is it me or is it strange to have no $7500 players in DK pricing this week with a 156 player field?

Scroll up – I posted about it in the very first post

I really hate the small stakes payout this week. Short Game min cash 1.5X is crap.

does it make sense to start with guys playing on the much easier plantation course?

For Showdown yes – for 4-day they have to play both course over first 2 rounds so unless big winds are predicted one day, it’s a wash to me

from a mental aspect of it though – getting off to a good start on Thursday could help with Fridays round. As opposed to shooting a 71 on the seaside course thursday and then having to go really low friday to make the cut. maybe im just overthinking it!

I’d say that’s over thinking it

You can back-test that theory and look at the past few years of results and let us know what you find – I bet it comes pretty close to averaging 50/50 to make cut from each course over a 3+ year sample with maybe a 60/40 blip one year where one side of the draw does better but not necessarily the easy course first.

Who is the likely cash game chalk going to be?
