    Top 3 projected cutline probabilities:

    2 over par: 26.9%
    1 over par: 23.6%
    3 over par: 19.1%

Course played +2.04 overall yesterday but there are a few guys still to finish who have the easy par 5s so it’ll come down slightly. So if we double it we are probably in the range of +3.5-4 although the wind is supposed to be slightly less today and with a bit of rain the course might soften up slightly as well so I think we see a little bit better scores than yesterday.

I’m gonna say we end up with a +3 cut

  • BrianVT

Were there any delays yesterday? How is it possible that the last group only got through 8 holes? Sounds like some poor time management/scheduling if there weren’t any delays. I know we’re in the short daylight season, but I don’t recall this happening in the past, or my memory is just bad.

Oops, never mind – my leaderboard wasn’t refreshed. The last group got through 15. Still seems like odd scheduling, though.

I like where I’m at. I think my success lies on whether Munoz +2 gets through or not. Lots of Matt Jones, Pat Perez value did well for me yesterday

Looks like there is still a wind advisory in effect. 25 to 35 with gusts to 55 till 6pm.

Ya it’s still gonna be rough conditions but the overall average wind (not the gusts) is lower than yesterday and it might have some light showers this morning softening it up a bit for later groups. It’s still gonna play over par for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up like half a stroke easier than yesterday by the end

    Yeah I’m thinking +3 or +4 myself.

Everything that I see shows the wind around the 33mph range which is just a touch more than it was yesterday

I don’t think the greens will be as receptive as they were yesterday (even with light showers). I’m also wondering if they will be under lift, clean and place today. I’m guessing…yes???

They were LCP yesterday so with more wind and possible rain expected I’d expect them to maintain the same and it should be LCP again today

So will they be watching closely that it is LCP and not LCT for anyone looking to bending the rules. No names need be said here.

He’s not going to beat the field as badly as that was just an outlier good round, but he looks dialed in and comfortable so I’m hoping/expecting him to put together another solid round, maybe like -1 or -2 and keep himself right at or near the top of that leaderboard

He’s in my showdown lineup for round 2, because it’s for cash and I wouldn’t bet against him except for contrarian GPP porpoises.

When the wind blows Tour players move their play to a snails pace as they all try to wait out wind gusts and make their shots at the perfect time. This hasn’t been an issue in past years but when the PGA tour doesn’t enforce a shot clock and its windy it will always be hard for a full field to finish all in 1 day.

  • Dunzor

If I could select one player to have an epic bounce back round it will be Troy Merritt as he is on a lot of my best teams right now. Overall he played solid yesterday but had a stretch of 3 holes where he imploded but at least he closed with a birdie and hoping he can turn it around today.

Other than that I think 19 of my 22 player pool are currently inside the cut but those last 3 duds are sprinkled into a lot of lineups. Gonna be sweating that massive group around the cut line as well as the picks I tried out on MonkeyKnife Fight after the heads up from you other forum folks

The picks most relevant to my success on MKF for today are:

    Thomas over Mats
    Simpson over Kuchar
    Reed over Wise
    Snedeker over Sabbs

and played a lot of unders on birdies and pars

Ted Potter Jr. (oh for 5 cuts made) smiles broadly.
