This is the most excited I’ve been to throw away $3k since last week.

I’ve been to Maui and Kauai. Both were awesome. (Also to Oahu, of course, but only the airport.)

P.S. Re: Brian Gay: I guess he’s a sleeper to win the tourney, but he seems under-priced relative to his record (3 straight made cuts in this event, a couple of nice finishes last year). I hope I didn’t jinx him!

I’m always leary of relatively old dudes who just laid a turd on a really good course fit their last time out. In other words, I’m an idiot who grasps at straws to confirm his recency bias in a sport choc-full of variance.

LOL you guys are funny. Totally confused with these conditions but I’m going with
Win – Morikawa (yeah the darling of everyone right now… but good reason)
    Fade – Reed
Sleeper – Zach J (old guy bouncing back from embarrassing performance here last year)

  • MGoHarbaugh

Hideki checks all of my boxes stats wise but seems to be a bad course fit. Never been a huge CH guy but I’m conflicted.

Made 22 lineups in the DTG. Hoping for at least one 6/6 that’s decent. Nothing like have at least one 6/6 going into the weekend.

Honolulu is pretty awful, unless you’re the kind of person who thinks NYC is the best city in the world. I know some people like it though – everyone should spend a day or two there and find out for themselves. I’m lucky enough to have visited the islands 10 times now, and my favorite spot is the Kohala Coast on the “Big Island”. There’s a microclimate there, and it’s sunny and warm nearly every day. The only time the weather isn’t perfect is when a storm system is affecting the entire island chain.

Maui and Kauai are awesome too, but the weather can be hit or miss if you’re looking for sunny beach/pool days. One of my favorite Hawaii trips was doing a full exploration of Maui using that little blue book.

Here’s some golf content – Guess who has a higher OWGR: Jazz Janewattananond or Jordan Spieth?

Best of luck guys. Golf season is the best time of the year!

Is Jimmy Herman a valid punt? He’s played the course before (without great success) and played last week. I assume I’m doing it all wrong, but have been hearing a correlation between playing the Sentry ToC and having success here. I have $6.5K left for my final roster spot.

Either way, good luck, fellas! Looking forward to full-swing PGA 2020…

Sucks there is no PGA Tour Live for this event again this week. Nothing better than firing it up at work to get you through the day!

There are much better plays in that range than Herman imo.

    Winner: H. Matsuyama
Fade: everyone priced above H. Matsuyama
    Sleeper: J. Hahn

Charl and Canter finished at +2, but they played the harder course in the EURO SA Open. Hoping there are a lot of birdies for them tomorrow…

I had him in originally, but I subbed him out because I had concerns about course fit. There are so many other sub-7k options that are better IMO.

Thanks for the input! I’ll keep digging.

I have him in 1/11 entries, so less than 2%, which all you should have as well. He is literally interchangeable with every golfer 100 above and below him though.
