Almost went Sneds but it’s too early in the year to start torturing myself.
Is this a course where we can play Furyk?
Also any thoughts on Kanaya?
Kanaya is a full-go for me

Johnny Vegas OUT
Going to be great to watch golf 4 evenings again.
I hear you and I am glad you get the opportunity. I dont have anything against it but my favorite time period is waking up having coffee reading the forum and checking my guys. just such a good way to waste a morning.
any Fantasy National members having difficulty logging on? I keep getting directed to the “join” page for some reason.
Posting as a reminder to myself.

Call me out if you see them in my lineup so I can slap myself.
I was having the same problem last week. I think if you click on “sign in” on the main page (not the menu), it should work. I use auto sign in, so details are a little fuzzy.
Just a reminder, if anyone would like to volunteer this week or for any other week for #BeattheForum feel free to message me directly or on the Beat the Forum page.
still takes me to a page with plans, I am a founding member and renewed in September, this is very frustrating and I have not heard back from them yet
I found something similar for the past correlations between actual vs predicted scores (not DK points). The Sony correlation is below average, though not as low as Honda / Safeway. The worst is the Players championship.
Thanks for confirming. Sucks when you can’t really determine a “type” of golfer for a course. I always tell myself, though, that they’re just human beings playing the most difficult sport in the world, so I guess it makes sense that the correlations are generally always weak.
The greens are Bermuda, like last week. So I guess you want people who putt well on those.
But the course is shorter and tighter than last week…18 holes on 120 acres instead of 300. So GiR should probably be the most important stat.
And as a tie-breaker, I’m using guys who played (well) here last week instead of those flying in and teeing it up for the first time this year.
P.S. I’ll be playing Chuckie Three Sticks in any case. His form is rather meh, but course history is amazing for that salary.

Whats everyones fav play under 7K ? Gay, Norlander, Stuard… guys im kind of thinking about… Not sure who Y.E. Yang is but looks like he’s 6/6 at this tourney and is 6K
Yep, those are all important.
I still came up with a handful of stats that are important, and GIR is one of them (BOW and SGAPP are actually the most important), but the problem is the consistency/strength. So, you’re going to have a lot of guys who are awful at GIR and will play well this week, and vice versa. They may even have great GIR numbers in the tournament, but are currently showing as awful at GIR beforehand. So, from the data angle, there’s not much you can do with that happening very often historically.
This would probably be a great tournament to be at, where you can watch some practice rounds, watch what guys are working on at the range/practice green, maybe overhear somebody saying they’re struggling or doing well with something, etc. It’s like the guys who bet on the horse that takes a big crap on the way to the gates. You need something to go by. Otherwise, it’s just called gambling.
It can obviously change, but it’s looking like Thurs PM / Fri AM has the wind advantage. Most of the guys I like this week happen to fall in that half anyway, so it’s just an added feel-good vibe for me.
Just finished my cascading-core of 20 LU’s in the Short Game and am interested to see how this works out
Did everything by hand as I learned nothing about uploading files or most any other computer stuff but I can make and change LU’s lol
After the after-view it seems I like many more of my other LU’s better than my core but that is expected I guess as second-guessing burns up the whole pre-tourney week quickly
And speaking of RickRunGood he did a great article on golfdigest.com with Shane Ryan talking about which stats were the most important to success last year. I don’t know how to link it to here but it can be found on thier site
Ghim? Malnati?
Anyone playing golf on jock market?
I have tried that and just can’t seem to figure it out. I think I need to watch more videos on how it exactly works
Just the guy who took down Tiger and won the 2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine then lifted his golf bag over his head with extended arms like it was the Stanley Cup !

I like that Ghim call
LOL… oh that guy ! Yeah not so sure if I’ll go there…
Ghim will probably be the highest ownership sub $7k, but hopefully not.
