I can already tell you that this Thursday is going to be very painful. I’m accustomed to wasting half my workday following my guys but now that won’t start til Friday. On the flip side, it will be nice on Labor Day to sit and watch the final round.

No work on Monday will be great… also firing up the grille and cooking some dogs and burgers for hopefully a wild Sunday

FD pricing up. I can roster both DJ and Rahm, and still have 4 good players left. I may actually can take down a GPP this week, along with hundreds.

I’d imagine this tournament is going to have crazy dupes. Wish there’s a way to look at DK tournament result from last year just to see if 1st place got sliced 117 ways or something.

Going with a single bullet this week.

DJ at $15,200 on DK. Got to fade him at that price, right?

I’ve developed a better OWGR called the Professional Golf Rating (PGR). New PGR rankings are out! Here are the notable jumps from last week:

    10. T. Hatton (+2)
    13. H. Matsuyama (+2)
    14. M. Fitzpatrick (+4)
    33. J. Niemann (+10)
    45. J. Kokrak (+14)
    51. B. Wiesberger (+14)
    80. A. Sullivan (+16)
    136. B. Hebert (+33)

DK salaries have been added for the Tour Championship! Check out the second tab to see recent form for all players.

Y’all have to remember these guys are priced up because they start with a lead. DJ starts at 10 under. Rahm 9 under

I’d rather see it with an inverted lead start.
    Guess that is just handicapping.

So how does dfs work in this case? It’s not standard picking whoever does best?

  • lfn1992

The Andalucia Masters will be happening at the same time in EURO. It used to be that event was “play Sergio, then figure out everything else”, but – where is Sergio? Since he missed the cut for the Tour Championship, he hasn’t been announced that he’s headed to the Andalucia Masters. His personal website hasn’t been updated, either. I find this very curious.

  • cplatt87

This tournament is an absolute crap shoot for DFS. Only way to try and be unique is to leave as much salary on the table as possible, but even that isn’t a guarantee in the larger GPP’s.

I’m likely just going to fire a single bullet in a couple of larger tournaments this week and call it a day. Not spending too much time on it this week.

  • lfn1992

Since the Tour Championship is kind of a tough DFG event I’ll bump up the EURO Happy Meal to 50, sound good?

  • timusbr

looking at the salaries of this weeks golfers, I find it humorous that many are in the tour championship. I mean my god….how these guys have screwed with me all year. How do you pick a small field event with memories of not that rat bastard, he cant putt. Or this son of a B, cant miss the water if you paid him.

LOL, even Leishman is still around…..anyone roster him last week and ready to go for it again?
maybe the point of this weeks exercise is to pick everyone who doesnt want us to own nice things so we can jam DJ in there.

It’s more like a 4 day Sunday showdown but with full tournament placement points instead of the reduced sunday version . DJ is highest because he’s sitting with 30 placement points before tee off…etc…along with the way he’s been playing of course.

Only if you give us your Euro pick of the week.

With the caveat that my picks have been utter crap lately, sure!

“Take Aaron Rai every week even though all he does is get pars” – I take him for weeks and burn money, the fade him this week as he becomes peak Sungjae Im
    “Fade Marty Kaymer” – T10
    “Fade Thomas Detry” – T10 ×2

The one good move I did was play Laurie Canter this past week as my sleeper – that worked out

    Marc Leishman only 5,000!

  • lfn1992

There is a very good chance I will take Leishman this week, hoping he can pull a Ryan Palmer

  • Felixxberg

Last year, the perfect lineup was $49.7K.

Out of all contests listed on ResultsDB, only 4 people had it: 2 in the $5 190K entrant contest, 2 in the $0.50 59K entrant contest.

  • Felixxberg

In other words, just play whoever you like and pray.

Ryan Palmer is in my initial lineup. Hoping he can pull one again…Of curse, err course, this brings up Harris English. Ouch.

Well, the good news is I can’t lose a bunch of money on Patrick Cantlay this week. Mr. Deviated Septum probably never saw himself sucking so badly that he wouldn’t even make it to East Lake as he took an inexplicable extra few weeks to get back to action. Neither did I, unfortunately.

    I don’t think I could roster Leishman at $0.

  • lfn1992

Quietly I’ve been amassing quite a few Milly tickets, and I’m trying to figure out a strategy for using them. I guess it depends on the payout structure of the Milly contests, right? Or have they been uniformly bad? If they’re bad, I should consider the tickets single-entry type tickets. But with the right prize structure, I could try to amass enough to at least partially MME one of them. Thoughts?
