Quietly I’ve been amassing quite a few Milly tickets

well done…..I dont think we have had a milly in golf in many weeks. I pretty much dont play the contest unless I have a ticket. So in the last month I have won 8 golf milly tickets and 18 various NFL tickets. I dont think I have had so many tickets ever. Anyone else accumulating tickets?

    I don’t think I could roster Leishman at $0.

Xander appears to really like it at East Lake. In past 3 years, he has zero rounds over par and 10 rounds under par with a 64. He wouldn’t have been the first guy I would go to in a Par 70 on Bermuda, but the results don’t lie. I know his rep is that he has good win equity in strong field/no cut. Thinking of bailing on Rahm after going near 100% last week and making the X man my all-in guy this week.

But for some really bad Par 3 play, I believe X man would have had a much louder year. 1st in Par 5 scoring, 5th in Par 4 scoring for the season.

I have a decent hull for myself. I’m to 11 various tickets including the Two Week Streak we just got and the Best Ball.

Most are smaller dollar but still happy. FD is handing out $4 tickets though (but I hardly play there).

So how does dfs work in this case? It’s not standard picking whoever does best?

Imagine it’s a 5 round tournament (but you don’t get to pick your team until Round 1 is over) and their starting scores were what they shot in round one and their salaries reflect that.

I don’t have that many of the $20 Milly ticks but prob have won 12-15 of them but also have 10 of the $100 golf tix and about 50 diff NFL tix

  • MrBreeze

DK-10 Milly Ticks plus some $20 NFL ticks I thought were golf.

Won 20 $4 NFL 3MILLION Tickets on FD this weekend for $20, the contest was sized for over 4000, and each day only 1200-1300 entered paying the top 1000, almost free money.

CanTPlay didn’t make it this week? (shocked)

on a serious note looks like a lot less contests this week.. I like playing the 12.00 Albatross I don’t see it.

I don’t think they’re done posting contests yet. Tournament starts Friday.

    Well said.

I know Dustin is playing really well, but doesn’t this format REALLY diminish the desire to pick the top salaried guy? Easier to drop in points quickly?

  • timusbr

Casey would have been a lock for me if he was here. this is the course for that horse….

LOL I still keep thinking about Leishman. What do you do with a guy who just went full Smylie Kauffman/Steven Bowditch, but wouldnt it be typical to see him in the top 5 Friday night.

DJ starts out on DK with 60 points ?

I can already tell you that this Thursday is going to be very painful. I’m accustomed to wasting half my workday following my guys but now that won’t start til Friday. On the flip side, it will be nice on Labor Day to sit and watch the final round.

I think 30. Also weather in Atlanta,no rain and hot and sunny. Could be another fast and hard difficult trac. Depends on how they water course.

Yes and no, because a guy at -10 would have some birdies.

  • topgus

Per Mayo’s Twitter, there’s no Mayo tourney this week.

Quietly I’ve been amassing quite a few Milly tickets, and I’m trying to figure out a strategy for using them. I guess it depends on the payout structure of the Milly contests, right? Or have they been uniformly bad? If they’re bad, I should consider the tickets single-entry type tickets. But with the right prize structure, I could try to amass enough to at least partially MME one of them. Thoughts?

I’ve saved a few too. I believe these expire end of year, and your decision might be reduced to entering between US Open and Masters. I don’t know that they will put up a milly maker on any other events, since they haven’t been the last month or so.

True only the position points will be there when the tourney starts but 1st is 30 and 2nd is 20 so a bit of a drop and hence why DJ is priced up so much.

I’d rather see it with an inverted lead start.
    Guess that is just handicapping.

Agreed. Leishman should get a 30 point lead. Only fitting after last week and only fair for handicapping purposes. Go Marc, all over you this week!

I remember having a discussion here last year about that new format and weird pricing. There was a guy who was a great stat guy who posted a google spreadsheet that he made with a simulation of how DK scoring would have been in previous years and it was very helpful.
