    Salaries are out.

I don’t think I want to play this week. 13.4K for Cantlay?

So Cantlay starting out at -10, which gives him the best chance for 1st place finish score ?

My thoughts exactly. I’ll likely just play a single bullet and leave like 5k on the table hoping to get lucky. 0 chance I play Cantlay though. Let him be 13.4k chalk. I’ll bet against him continuing one of the best putting performances of all time for a 2nd straight week.

I agree with Cantlay fade, he has never broke top 20 here in his 3 times playing. Just don’t see him holding that 1st place spot by Sunday.

I was planning on passing this week but I advanced in that free survivor “no laying up” contest last week, so now due to FOMO I will be playing my normal amount!

Just going to guess X and Rory are the chalkiest plays due to their elite course history here.

Agree. Might go 100% Rory in this one

Last year, someone posted a very useful Excel document that showed how players would have scored with the new format during the previous years. Not sure if I can find it.

anyone else checking out IDA and Atlanta? Ive been thinking about since Sat.

Atlanta has been on the edge of projected heavy rain. I guess storms thru Wed are possible making it kinda wet.

My take is another birdie fest and some of the guys didnt look too good in BWM, while others seemed pretty comfortable.

Sergio at 5400 looks to me as possible mega chalk

Happy Meal contest is up, I havn’t updated the Cup points yet. HOF1971 looks like he could have clinched the top honors but I am not positive.

I want to say 2 things.
    1) this is the last Happy Meal contest I will be creating. If anyone wants to take over, its all yours.
    2) A great way to end my Happy Meal Cup tenure. hof1971 a dime/qtr player, beat all the big money winners. The reasons I really wanted to play this contest is to give us smaller players a chance to compete vs the bigger dollar players. Bankroll does not make people “experts”. In the many years of being on the forum, I have seen many comments from some to indicate that qtr players are somewhat less than $20 main event players. Shame on those people and thank you Hof.

Thanks for all your work Tim. Happy meal is everyone’s favorite contest.
I will continue posting Happy Meal contests moving forward but I will not track weekly points.
Anyone wishing to track points please come forward.

    Thanks for running it Tim!

Thanks for your hard work Tim.

Just need to Play Thur to get my crowns and then I plan on moving my Fantasy losing streak from PGA to NFL. At least DK Sportsbook coming to Michigan has kept me from having to deposit this year.

  • byo34

Tim! We speak your name! Thanks for everything!

  • byo34

Billy Ho is the only guy in the field who is losing strokes on approach this season… why do I feel drawn to play him? The Bermuda bias is strong!

First off thanks to Tim. Secondly thanks to Jim. All is good with the world.

How much salary do you realistically need to leave on the table to be unique this week?

In a 30 player field I feel leaving even like $1500 on the table might not be enough if you’re eating chalk (which I plan on doing with Rahm)

What’s amazing is that the mathematical odds of correctly picking 6 numbers out of 30 with 150 guesses is still around 1 in 4500. Throw in the salary constraints of DFS and those odds get much worse.

Thanks, Tim.. Hope you will continue to play! Also, thanks Jim!

    Thanks everyone!!!

It has really been my pleasure. I had time, energy(waning), and desire to make the contest and keep a running total. LMAO, I guess I am really more comfortable in apologizing to the forum (for my many screw ups), instead of accepting recognition. I am still invested in golf, I wont give up just yet. You still can take my scheckles, Its my nature, to have opinions and put my money where my mouth is. I am planning on some NFL fun for now. Good Luck to everyone.

I really hope the Spieth ownership projection of 10% holds…it’s only Monday though

See you soon in the NFL Happy-er Meal

I’ll post it tonight so the early bird keeners can get locked in for Week 1

I doubt it as with only 29-30 players, the average ownership is 20% per golfer and he should draw “average” ownership despite a couple so-so events on the playoffs so far.

I put up a couple of Week 1 NFL contests in the lobby:

$2 Opening Night Showdown for Tampa-Dallas next Thursday
