I would go with eight teams. Not much to be known as this is first time these players are playing this course as there have been many changes since the tour was last at Avenel plus these players were infants, teenagers when last played there unless your Sabatinni or Appleby. Eight teams gives you better shot than two. Early thoughts but I will fade majority of chalk since it’s a level playing field.

Edit, plus a small playing field, 120. Probably won’t play as much this week as the Travelers or it will be small amounts with several teams.

Cooper, you are a smart guy. Here’s how my brain works:

2 Lineups in 15,000 or 8 lineups in 33,000. To me, having to play 18,000 less entries makes more sense. I also like the prizes at the top better this week for the dog leg. Funny enough my 2 dog leg entries had the exact same score this week but had different players.

I looked at the field this week and thought, man this is going to either going to be really good or really bad for most DFS players this week and we could see a lot of randomness.

for whatever is worth… and for a little bragging :)… missed the 200K Fore and had only one entry in the 75K one (no entries in any other contests)… finished 2nd for a nice $2,500… the same entry in the 200K Fore would have had an 8th finish and $1,500… I guess I got lucky with both Jordan bunker shot (Berger wasn’t in my lineup) and with procrastinating and not entering the bigger Fore…

Thankfully not much to bitch about this week. I guess I wish I didn’t see that WD from the pro-am because of the “flu” from Hoffman had I not switched out Charley for Grillo would have actually won in a couple contests. And of course enter more contests but it’s all hindsight just lucky and thankful to have a very profitable week won’t have these very often.

Sure. Some weeks are harder than others to forecast though. I think this upcoming week will be one of those.

  • BIF

The new redesign for this week’s course is now a 7139 yard par 70

Only 2 Par 5’s and they are early on the nines #2 and #10 so cut sweats will be ugly as no easier birdie holes coming in after #5 and #14……back nine is 250 yards shorter than the front nine and appears to be a little easier so guys finishing Friday on the front may have some extra angst. There is going to be some tilting for sure as this scorecard was not designed with DFS in mind LOL

  • WidumBoise

    Fowler will be 13K

And Boo Weekly will be the new toy everyone considers next week maybe. The Pat Mayo hour is going to be epic tomorrow with Cam Stewart when he talks about Boo.

That is fair enough, That is a forecast.
Your original post was saying that both could happen.
“this is going to either going to be really good or really bad for most DFS players this week”
Just trying to clarify what you were forecasting.

Jam, I understand. What I love about these tourneys with lesser known guys is it’s a real chance to evaluate guys you wouldn’t otherwise consider in fields with better players.

I know that – way ahead of you and I was saving that for when someone asked why the Google sheet has data for 2012-13 LOL

Putnam and Lingmerth won those Web events.

Correct I don’t like them (small fields) for GPPs as the 6/6 rate is most likely going to be higher as over 60% of field will most likely make the cut and you usually have to be a little closer to perfect to ship one or Top 10 a GPP.

I just play more cash these weeks – I have 7-8 players circled so when salaries come out, hopefully I can make my cash lineup that fits the $50K
