    100% grillo ride or die

  • Frustrated

Without the off-topic talk this would just be another boring, bland section here on rotogrinders. “I like player A” “I like player B” great. Fantastic. Insightful conversation. Here it’s enjoyable might actually get some decent golf discussion but then you might get something about a roof or a Bret Ellis like post might get posted. Any sort of off the rails post out of left field. That’s what makes this community standout from the rest you’ve got interesting characters on here.

Getting a roof? Watch this. Highly entertaining.

I recall there were 30 pages discussing if Patrick Reed’s wife is a gold digger or not. Also another 20 pages devoted to Lucas Glover’s wife whooping his butt. I would argue talking about stocks is closer to golf DFS than gossiping over a players marital life.

You made me look! His Par4 stats are pretty good, but not in great form or a stellar CH. The other stats I’m looking at don’t align either. What do you like about him?

Side-note: There would’ve probably been less to “siphon” through has it just been left alone. I understand though so golf-only robot henceforth. Sorry again to whomever we annoyed… The Admin Note clearly states the rules of the forum so we were in the wrong. This isn’t Vietnam, fellas. There are rules…

It is just so hard not to take him. I will eat the chalk glady.. his pricing just doesn’t seem right.

  • twill145

Seems like the discussion about off-topic discussions and thread derails are actually causing more of a disruption than the off-topic posts themselves.

At least I can see a photo of a roof and easily ignore it. Hard to ignore a MOD NOTE and replies to a MOD NOTE

I went up from my normal single lineup to a whopping THREE this week (granted I did play 5 for the US Open but that was from tickets I won). There were a few more guys that I wanted exposure to than I could fit on just one lineup, but still have a 3 man core that is on all 3, so definitely still a risky situation but I’m used to be 100% on guys so normal for me. Looking for some redemption after getting smashed by the forum last week and barely scraping 1 min cash out of my 5 lineups.

  • Frustrated

I like Grillo too. He is good with irons. He is good with approaches. He is 22nd strokes gained: approach. He is good. I would feel, if I could, that I have too much Bradley. He is good with irons too. He has done well here. He has made cut seven straight times. I hope he doesn’t burn me in which causes me to malfunction. Joke inserted. Ha. Ha. Ha.

He had really bad SG App in the beginning of season, but has only been improving the past few months. Decent enough SG ARG and SG Putting all season. Not the greatest SG OTT, but I am not sure if that is too important this week

Cool, cool… I think I’m still bitter from the one tournament where he couldn’t make 3’ putts, but I guess that’s what happens when you party.

  • dangasin

I am fading the Grillo fade this week.

Yea I had him that week as well, it was in November I think. I actually added him to my no play list but considering removing him

  • dangasin

Jamie Lovemark could have a nice showing. Shouldn’t be priced more than grillo though

Sometimes you have to forgive and forget. Kevin Na (obviously not in the field this week) has made everyone comfortable rostering him again, but I’d still rather lose money…

Somehow I have never had any issues with Kevin Na. Lucky enough to only have picked him when he played well

is Jason Day as a cash play insane?

  • nicholasmarsh

I’m pretty low in terms of ownership on Holmes and Knox so think I need to pick one. Do any of you have a preference or fade both? Knox is more accurate in terms of driving, better in terms of Par4 scoring, way better in terms GIR and better in terms of Par4 BoB% so I go J.B Holmes, right?

Knox is not good at putting this season, not sure if that helps.

    One of the lucky few…

Re: Jason Day – I initially had about 25% of him and Spieth, but am working them out of my LUs. I don’t think he’s a crazy cash game play, but it depends on your opponents. Not really a cash player so hoping someone else has something for you. I think they’ll be higher owned than they probably should be based on their names, but form is an issue for me.

Neither are very good in terms of SG-Putting, but, of course, I’m looking at the PGA stats as opposed to the pay-site stuff. Should probably just fade both… Thanks for the input, @dangasin

EDIT: Are we at all concerned with Keegan’s putter?

Knox for me but don’t have a great deal invested in this week. I just don’t see Holmes as a shortest par 70 / Pete Dye kind of player.

Well look at it this way.. if he wins you should be in a pretty good spot to cash! As long as the rest of your team isn’t too contrarian.

Yeah. I’ve seen J.B. mentioned this week, but not great stat-wise or course history-wise. He fared well at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, which was a Par 70, so that was my justification.

EDIT: I’m talking like 4/20 LUs, if any, though
