Hey everyone,

I’m happy to announce another season of The Ultimate Fighter-DFS Edition. Seasons 1 and 2 were a big success, and we’re hitting the sweet spot of the MMA season in November and December, so I feel like it’s a great time to launch Season 3.

We will start this tournament for UFC 205 on November 12, and end with UFC 207 on December 30. On top of the prize pool, I’ve decided to add (2) free weeks of MMA Premium to 1st place, and (1) free week of MMA Premium to 2nd and 3rd place.

This contest is loosely based around the reality TV show, The Ultimate Fighter, and it’s a two-month long survivor tournament. Last season, we set the entry fee at $20 and I’m sticking with that for Season 3.

CONTEST STRUCTURE

This will be a seven-week survivor tournament that eliminates a small number of entrants each time. Payout is TBD but we will pay out to the top three places (last season was 240/160/80).

Total Prize Pool: 24x$20= $480

1st- $240 + 2 free weeks of MMA Premium
2nd- $160 + 1 free week of MMA Premium
3rd- $80 + 1 free week of MMA Premium

Tiebreaking Procedure

In the schedule, I will list the number of people who enter and advance each week. IF YOU TIE for the place of advancement, you will advance. That means in Episode 1, if 20 people are scheduled to advance, and 3 players happen to tie for 20th place, they will all advance and enter Episode 2.

If there is a tie in the finale, we will continue to play a h2h or 3-man game until a winner is determined. If there is a tie for 2nd and 3rd place in the finale, I will award them a split of 2nd and 3rd place money.

Immunity:

The winners of episode 1 and 2 will be granted immunity for the following episode. This means the winner of episode 1 will be safe from elimination during episode 2. The winner of episode 2 will be safe from elimination during episode 3.

If there is a tie for first place, immunity will not be granted. There must be an outright winner to earn immunity.
