Tied for 5th in the fore for a really nice hit with 425.50 points. Wish I had that team in one of my bigger contests. 2nd time in a month that’s happened but no complaints.

    nice hit! Congrats.

I climbed up to 20th in the fore at one point, but Hoffman was low owned guy there and as he fell back I fell back. Finished somewhere in the 400’s for $75 so cant complain.

The exciting news for me was taking down the Golflandia contest. First time cashing in that and it’s a win.

the entire sports viewing world has been asking this about every major sporting event for the last 10 years….nobody knows the answer…he must have serious dirt on all the Fox executives

Can I ask why he’s so terrible? I hear this a lot, but it’s never followed with any specific reasons.

Personally I think he did fine. He set-up the situations nicely, he didn’t get overly excited over every little thing like a Gus Johnson, he didn’t pretend to know it all, and he let the color guy(s) take the analysis role.

There was absolutely nothing wrong at all. its just another thing for people to complain about.

i think he was really disliked when they played at chambers bay. he didn’t really know golf well and his co-host also was no good. nick price? i forget who it was. so they both came across as terrible.

then last year there was that flub on getting koepka’s girlfriend by the wrong name. it was an honest mistake, but he got a lot of flack for it.

this year i thought he was fine, and it especially helped he had azinger by his side, as i thought azinger was great and knows his golf and doesn’t mind explaining it in depth on-air. so in a way he masks a lot of the lack of knowledge that joe buck has on the subject.

I can see this as a valid point. You know for sure he would have not done a move like that if he been in contention, if he or anybody ever did it would have been called the greatest travesty in golf but since he was no where near the top and my opinion only, since it was Phil it was called as it was. EDIT

But as someone else said, then why didn’t he run after it sooner and stop it closer to the hole. Phil is full of it. If had said I lost m y cool and was frustrated and apologized, it would move on quicker. Now it will linger and people will rightfully roast him for it.

Championship Summer Week 1 was taken down by JClements4048 and is wearing the yellow jersey (in honor of the upcomming tour de France). Check out the thread Summer Championship in golf sub-forum for updated spreadsheet in the header.

#beattheforum, was bravely taken up by Dunzor for the US Open. Dunzor was good enough to supply our forum with an extra buck or two. I dont think its easy to put yourself out there and Dunzor deserves some respect and Love for making the effort. 1-31, now that will be a long standing record if we keep getting volunteers.

Thank god I won the under 8K contest. that extra $18 helped me out.

bet 80.50 got back 30.50. but world cup profit and showdown PGA rd 2 brought my losses to a respectable – $9.25

last and most easily least this week is the Golf handicap contest. my best score of 329 does not make my best 8
