Back to my fortune cookie “Lucky Numbers” and I like this LU ! I did have to ditch Champ and took the next guy. Just so everyone knows the Fortune / Comment side of my little slip of paper says “ This is the month that ingenuity stands high on the list. “ ? WTF !

Will Gordon and Brice Garnett will be replaced by JJ Spaun and Tim Wilkinson after testing positive for the rona.

Conners/Ancer for all da monies this week, free squares.

Dipping my toes in the minimax this week. Usually only hand build a few LU’s, but putting 150 LU’s in that one.

    What could go wrong?

  • BrianVT

    I wonder why NeSmith/Seifert shouldn’t be high ownership (j/k)

No, not that stupid. Will be over 75% on a few guys though.

They look good for sure. But Bubba, Justin Rose, and Coatrack do too.

It seems in contrast to last week, it’s way too easy to build nice lineups. OTOH it’s just as easy for everyone else. And the cut rule is still T-65.

Feels like Connors is going to be mega chalk this week.

I know he is 9600, but Corey Conners is flat-out mispriced. He should probably be the 2nd most expensive guy in the field right below JT. The more I run my model and projections my builder wants him in every single lineup. I know he will be chalky but going to have to be like 60% this week.

  • ifthethunder

Carp. I had a lot of Sepp Straka, he was in my core 1.

UPDATE: Straka withdrew Tuesday from this week’s Valspar Championship after testing positive for COVID-19.”

Weird as none of the 3 with Covid were partners nor did they get drawn together in any of the 4 rounds

    Weird and concerning.

I know it’s smarter to keep riding a streak than to bet it’s going to end but at what point does he have a bad week – he has been on a heater for a couple months so at what point does that end ?

These are things I think of and tell myself and wrestle with when I’m trying not to go too crazy overweight on someone.

They have all 3 been in my very preliminary SE build at one point this week if your looking for commonality.

I figured by now on Page 2 you would have been talking up Sam Horsfield; 2 wins in 2020, now 4 straight high finishes in a row and priced quite cheap. Plus he went to school up the road in Gainesville 🐊

I was waiting until tonight, need to pace my EURO touting over multiple days

I’d think these guys are all vaccinated by now, unless they’ve chose not to. It’s been available to everyone for a while, and they probably had enough connections to get it even earlier that most people. Vaccinated players don’t need to get tested anymore. Although, I guess you could still carry it and spread it to another player. The vaccine just keeps you from getting sick.

Anyhow….not meant to start a political discussion. Just surprised they’re not all mostly vaccinated, given the profession/situation.

Was really hoping nobody would talk about Horsfield too much this week. At least, I hope the touts aren’t pushing him up.

  • ifthethunder

(This is a reply to BIF re: Sam Horsfield. Quote function is a little spotty these days.)

Have plenty of him already. I had Straka in 9 of 20 (which was too many). But switching him out after I’ve done the core swaps is like pulling teeth because I don’t have salary left and I already have too many of the direct alternatives like KSDT and RCB.

How do people feel about Graeme McDowell? I guess another ace is too much to hope for. But he has made his last 3 cuts here.

    My thoughts exactly.
But do you know what really makes me sick to my stomach? Having Full Keegan and Coatrack check all the stat, course fits, and recent form criteria this week. I avoid that pair like the plague. I need an Alka Seltzer.
