Damn that CT Pan double on 18 killed me. Had no Sneds this week. Managed to lose about 5 bucks on $212 entries. Onto the playoffs.

  • mtdurham

Great tournament for 71 holes and then CT Pan blows the 18th ugh…

Can somoene explain why its a 2 streak penalty to tee off out of bounds when everyhting else is a 1 streak penalty? ALways seemed like one of the dumbest rules in sports to me

I played 3 weekend lineups but this was the best one that won the satty:

    RCB (-5) (-6)
    Webb (-4) (-8)
    Hideki (-6) (-5)
    Barber (-1) (-5)
    Suri (+1) (-7)
    Kokrak (+1) (-4)

How many total points did that do? Curious to see if I would have won that satty!

If my ex wife made a windfall of 10% of me winning (guessing 500K), she would be smilling as much as Michell Pan. Never would have entered her thoughts…it could have been a Million +.

wonder why she caddied for him this week?

His idiot caddie took the week off…. $50,000 vacation

Knowing CT though he will still give him like $25k.. He’s just that type of person. The chinese are very superstitious people. I’ve played a lot of baccarat with them. THey are a different breed of folk

Viktor Hovland who attends Oklahoma St via Norway won the US Amateur today. He along with Devon Bling earned Masters invites next year. Hovland is someone to watch and remember as he is ranked #5 amongst amateurs and he won this tourney in dominating fashion winning several matches by 2-3+ holes.

What year is he in school? Any expectation he turns pro earlier like a lot of these other college guys recently

He is a junior. I wouldn’t expect him to turn pro until at least after the Masters. He also earned a US Open berth. If he turns pro he loses both since he won them as an amateur and the exemptions are for amateurs. Niemann had a US Open exemption and bypassed as well as an Open exemption. Just remember the name.

Maybe the best 5/6 lineup out there @ 603.00 pts?
Thanks for the 3 putt bogey from Lingmerth on back nine. He def was not interested in sticking around for the wknd.

Correct -I’ll just add that using the terminology of the rule, the penalty for OB is “stroke and distance” hence the requirement to re-tee as you said or hit again from where you hit it OB from where water hazards are just a one stroke penalty as you stated.
