Am I wrong to fade Webb across the board here? I know price should be considered relative to the field, but I cant seem to justify taking him at that pricing at all.

I will play devils advocate….please tell me who you can justify at there price based upon recent form, course history, etc…

Last 16 competitive rounds at Sedgefield CC
    63,64,67,68
    70,67,71,71
    67,67,64,68
    64,69,66,67

    Recent Form
    19,24,12,47,MC,10
All in tougher fields than this week….

Webb is perhaps having his best season ever! He is on a high, just qualified for the Ryder. Many people will say now he lets down but I say no he outperforms because he wants to show his Ryder Cup slot is no fluke. Typically when a player goes in on a high note to his “home court” things work out well…

    Zac Blair anybody?

EDIT: IF you trust the @SmartGolfBets guy’s opinion

I always trusted the guy and his course analysis. I think his tips are relatively new. As it turned out the first couple times I looked, we had a guy or 2 in common. I am not to sure…no stats just feeling, He hasn’t done very well in his tips….Anyone else look at this? Recently I started reading some of the site and it has been fun. some good entertainment in there.

I went to Account Information > Transaction History. I guess I came in with 431 FPP as they credited then debited another 431 FPP. Ugh… NFL can not get here soon enough! Ha-ha…

    That’s what I got as well, 431.

Doesn’t mention Blair in his Tips and I think he hit an EW with the webb.com guy from Kentucky (Josh Teater). I’m not sure how his tips translate to DK though. Zac Blair caught my eye because he likes him at 51 points less (125/176) than his bookie. I always pick my own guys, but don’t mind when they line up with his.

EDIT: When they line up with his tips, that is. I ripped Blair from his sheet… #throwingdarts

I, for one, hope DK NEVER does that handicap program again. Scratch golfer gets 1800 crowns, enough to buy a $3 ticket. What a joke. Even banks pay higher yields.

Technically this was just a free performance based bonus on top of the crowns people earned normally for their entry fees and for those that only play Quarters, this is the only way to earn crowns so the idea was ok.

The problem with it rests amongst those on here that thought they were going to be one of only 5 people to split 1.5M crowns !! I’m guessing by your comments that you fall into that category. 🙄

Anybody have thoughts on Tyler Duncan? Has had a really good streak making 11 straight cuts and ranks 25th in SG: Approach which is one of my key stats this week. Pretty horrid putter though. But outside of pure stats I don’t know much about the guy.

His bermuda putting splits need to be much better than his other putting splits. This being a birdie fest he will need the worse part of his game to carry him.

to be honest, I liked it, except I think it was poorly orchestrated by DK. It was a bonus that didnt change my playing one bit. I didnt say I need to enter to get points. I just said I need a 590 to get to the next level. I think all of DK’s rewards stuff is for shit. they take way to much of my %dollar, they reward me with the most ridiculously low as a % from any gambling I have ever done. Almost all rewards seem to be carroted with future entry.

  • Dunzor

Has anyone heard anything as to why Ryan Blaum withdrew last week? He’s had some solid form and went to Duke in Carolina so was thinking of playing him as a pivot to some chalky guys but then saw he W/D after rd 1 of the Barracuda but no injury was cited

It was free considering that the vast majority were going to play 8-12 contests during the time period…if you were the owner what would have you provided for free to thousands of people?

Again, what would you give away free? It’s easy to look at this from a “I” perspective since you want the best. Unfortunately, DK has to look at it from a perspective of thousands of people…many forget they have a business to run, one that has yet to be profitable, correct me if I am wrong….

I love the game….DFS…..I dont trust the company……I dont think they are run for anyones benefit except the venture capitolists. Profitable LMAO….Have you seen the books? have you read anyone who has seen the books? Profitability doesn’t even enter into my thought process. Why should you give a damn if they make a profit or lose. this is simply using their product to gamble. I can find other alternatives, and I have used them. I dont really care about my bookies finances. He seems to be doing well. Is this or is it not the biggest chunk of a gambling dollar taken in rake you have ever seen? The value of “your rewards” has the lowest dollar value I have seen. True or untrue?

One good thing, the billion dollars they poured into advertising noticeably dropped about a year ago.
I am so glad you worry about DK. when we play a H2H, I hope you worry about my bankroll too.

I’m with others on here with the thought that it was a terrific idea, poor execution. I never was able to get any good sense as to:

    1) what my handicap was, I had to compute it by hand until I went on vacation, then I lost track of my best scores and then had to approximate,

    2) where I stood with the rest of the world, there was no leaderboard or way to point to something to show that I was beating BIF and Dunzor, briefly, and

    3) the prize was a bit underwhelming in the end. I don’t mind 400 extra crowns, especially since they count towards gold status, but all season I wasn’t aware of exactly what I was playing for – only for “some number of FPP/Crowns that could be anywhere from 100 to 100,000”

The idea, however, of a multi-weekly contest where you are continually competing against others in DFG for some prize, is a very sound one. Think about the Happy Meal Cup, how that adds interest every week in playing that contest weekly. I think in the future something like this can be done at the DK level, too, but it needs well-defined prizes and a leaderboard. IMO.

I think DK did a better job with the baseball incentive program, it’s very measurable, you know exactly where you stand and what needs to happen to get your crowns. It also lacks a leaderboard but they did a much better job with it.

Oh – to a point earlier on this thread. I wanted so very badly to qualify for the FGWC. I didn’t bust my budget but I entered a satty or three a week trying to get one of those damned things but couldn’t qualify. Multiple lineups, didn’t matter. Came close a few times but nothing.

I take it you don’t trust anyone who runs a business…aren’t they all run for the venture capitalists or majority stockholders? You do understand that 98% of the “things” you have purchased over the past month has a higher rake (margin) than DFS.

I think we get it, fellas. DK underwhelmed, but it was a nice gesture… Good idea, but would’ve been nice for them to, at least, track points after each week. I’ll take whatever they were giving considering it was normal play for me. I’m just happy they honored it the promo.

    I’ll see myself out…

I plugged Lowry*, Moore and Varner into my placeholder after running my crappy form program on the tournament sheets. They all hit it in event form AND recent form based on my parameters (3 appearances at Sedgefield CC and 3 starts in past 7 weeks)

I tinkered my program to ingest the DK Salaries sheet. Since there are only 5 event results and 5 recent results, I only require 2 appearances. After adjusting the data and my parameters, Lowry/Varner appear on both lists while Moore does NOT appear on the recent form list. I just wanted to follow up as to not mislead anyone.

Now I’ll see myself out :)

They should be profitable. They are the market leader(arguably?) in the only legal, in terms of UIGEA, interstate online gambling medium in the US.

Anybody playing some Mac Hughes this week? His game seems to be coming back around and he pops out to me as a possible dart throw that could top 10. I’m just trying to figure out why he’s had good finishes in the normal pga tour stops over the last month yet couldn’t beat out the pile of scrubs at Barbasol & Barracuda

He is one of the first names I circled.

your reachin coop, not true on anyone who runs a business and not true about what I have purchased. DFS providers offer a service not a product. I dont go home with something that was grown or made just use them to gamble and scratch my degeneracy.

but more to my point what of these questions below?

Is this or is it not the biggest chunk of a gambling dollar taken in rake you have ever seen? The value of “your rewards” has the lowest dollar value I have seen. True or untrue?
