So who’s the chalk this week?

    Simpson / Kirk / HV3 / RCB

    Simpson / Kirk / HV3 / RCB

Well I got Webb and that’s it so works for me

Harold Varner and Chris Kirk as Chalk. Man gonna be a lot of broken LU’s on Friday.

Disclaimer: I do have a LU with both, so I am eating chalk this week as well

  • Dunzor

Club Twirl almost full and DTG about 35K short of filling, but still 12 hours to go so I think it should have no problem getting there

I don’t get why HV3 is that popular. He would be a very decent $7.5K-$8.0K pick, but $8.9K? Seems way too much even on a weak field. He hasn’t been more than $7.4K in his last 13 starts. $8.9K is a big jump!

Kirk, however, made his last 10 cuts, and his salary was $6.8K-$8.9K in that span, so he’s a good $7.5K pick in my opinion.

Simpson has everything I’m looking for but I think $11.6K is too much. Same thing for RCB.

  • timgodd375

Yeah, I am not playing an 8.9k harold varner regardless of form.. Dude has always been a ball striker but hes one below average putting week from a MC… Especially if he is chalk… I like the dude, but not at 8.9k

No… don’t do It! I too was tempted by Thomas Bjorn… it’s not worth it, you have too much to live for

I was going to go high and low, scrubs, like that kid but he is OUT now. Going balanced, just cant find a worthy sub 6.9k

Agree 100%. If he was priced in the lower to mid $7K range, I would have interest. No thanks at his rich $8.9K price tag.

  • noddy

No way HV3 should be in the mid 7k range in this field. Come on now boyz!!!

Yeah, I’ll have no Varner. Not paying that price for him. He could go off the rails at any time.

Ya I think he is priced appropriately for the field, I just prefer other options. If he was priced any lower he’d be super chalk like Finau was last week instead of the 20ish% he’s likely to be at his price now

Not sure why people think 11.6 is to much for Webb…he has the history, has good form, coming in on a high with Ryder Cup berth. Yet people will not blink an eye to pay 11.6 for DJ, Rory, etc at that price in a tougher field on tougher courses. Sure the players who you are playing with Webb on your team are not sexy but those many of those non sexy players will make the cut finish very well. Those non sexy players actually have more upside this week than the sexy players you would have selected on your DJ and Rory teams due to the strength of field. I get not wanting to pay 11k+ for a Finau at the Greenbrier because he has no full FedEx points tourney wins but Webb is not Finau this week….

Perhaps, but with Moore right above him and Kim right below him it’s a no thanks for me. The thought of paying $8.9K for HV3 just feels gross.

My pivot off of HV3 is Suri. Any guesses on ownership numbers for those 2?

    HV3 probably between 20-25%…..Suri probably around 10-15%

I agree, I think webb is a great play this week. Personally I put him on a couple DTG lineups but my main lineup build I preferred a couple of the other guys above 10K more and didn’t want to go super scrubs in the low 6s

I’ve been a fan of Cejka as a solid old guy who always goes overlooked and I played him a lot the end of 2016 and 2017 but then he got injured at some point and I feel like I see him W/D a lot so i’ve started to avoid him lately. Hope he hits it big for you though, I do like him

I’m good, man. Bought a $5 tix with my HC crowns. House money, right? The poet absolutely earned it though. Very nice…

He is my favorite cheap guy this week. I have quite a bit of him. Hoping for a top 15 at 4%.
