Tiger excels in small field events

What is the last full field event he won ? I think the 2013 Players.

By my count 49 of his 81 wins came in fields with 120 or less players.

Ha Brooks Koepka is celebrating Halloween.

How good of a ball striker is Conners ?
Led the tour in GIR last year.

He birdied 4 of the 5 par 3’s today – too bad he missed short ones for birds on 3 of the par 5’s

If he ever figures out the putter consistently, he’ll Top 10 every week.

  • dangasin

    great finish conners!

take away those 49 and he’s probably still top 20 all time wins

Oh I know – I just never realized the grand total of all the WGC’s, Invitationals, Fed ExPlayoff events and Masters that he won in comparison to full field events.

I always he knew he played a reduced schedule and cherry picked events where he liked (and/or had success at) the course like Torrey, Bay Hill and Firestone but had not really looked at field size. A lot of those small field wins, he won by multiple shots so it’s not like another 30-70 players would have mattered anyways.

Oh hell they started round 4.

Yea the Tiger era was much easier to pick and choose what tourney to play. The season is much longer now than it use to be. Plus guys like Tiger and Phil make 50+ million a year mainly because of sponsor money. The old days guys were playing tourneys to put food on the table. It’s no different than comparing the NFL now to the old days. Tom Brady has it easy now because if you touch him, there will be a flag. The old days defenses were head hunting QB’s with no flags thrown.

  • Dunzor

Well the marathon day of golf wasn’t so kind to my teams. I was looking great after 2 rounds and solid after 3, but then a bunch of my guys fell apart. Gonna need strong finishes from Niemann, Poston, and Woodland on their last few

  • Jeddy3

The start of round 4 has sucked for my player pool this far. Hopefully the break tonight will reset them!

thks BIF, didnt realize this or forgot it. That is a significant percentage IMO and not an anomaly.
