Any way to downsize the EURO Happy Meal so it will run?

I’ll pass on the Under 8K as long as nmanci13 is putting his same LU in it as well as the Happy Meal and MrBreeze Top 2 under 50K

  • Dunzor

Hey superstars, since I consider you one of the best multi entry golf DFS players, if you were doing a 20 max contest, how many players would typically be in your player pool?

  • ilayup

Any relevant course history at all… or comparable course/tournament this week?

LOL, sorry Dunzor but I would ask Hautalak or LFN or a number of others on here about a 20 max thing. superstar is great …dont get me wrong but IMHO he goes about as many LU as he needs.

this goes to the philosophy game. 1 core small player pool, multiple pivot spots many in player pool. When you go max 20 thats a ceiling unless you spread it out in different contests doing different 20’s.

MIKUMU HORIKAWA – Hope people take him thinking they took MORIKAWA

This is funny … I will admit I did a double take initially looking at the player pool and had to think about it for a second and then saw Morikawa … thought the same thing 😂 … well I played no lineups last week and probably just play a few here with no CH and no cut but the field has me interested to float a few lineups out there

  • dangasin

    Horikawa is gonna beat morikawa.

Thought he also almost won the 555 off of a single entry or 2 from the thread last week. Can’t remember the exact details.

  • NoLimits0

Are we supposed to take Morikawa this week now that he’s cheaper?

He won the club twirl last week with 37 entries

Like 15-18 probably, so pretty tight range. I probably have a much tighter pool for my entry # than most people, since I’ll go straight 0% on a lot of chalkier players. Like I’ll probably go 0% JT this week and be ok with it.

I usually have something like if I did 40 lineups, I will have like 30 golfers, so that’s how I get to the 15-18 number if I assume it’s linear. Also a lot of my teams are 1 and 2 offs of each other so that’s why my core is so tight (like 10 golfers), and the rest like 20 are on like one and two off teams in which I do like a 2 v 2 swap.

I also handbuild my golf lineups, so I don’t ever do something where I give exposure explcitiy (also implicitly I’ll know by memory), but I can go very high on a golfer like 50%+ with JT last week. I don’t like to do something where it ends up like 30% or something each golfer across the board.

Also, I don’t really come close to max-entering anything, although tim must think I do. It’s too hard to max enter while building your lineups by hand anyways. I probably do something like around 2x the lineups most people on here do (if they do 20 max), and I do it both in the Twirl and Best Ball with some one offs between them.

You didn’t ask me and I’m not sure I’d take my own advice after this shitty stretch I’m in, but I typically on average take 15 golfers for 20 LUs. One time I got it down to 13 and was very proud of myself.

I took down one large GPP and I am almost certain I went with 20 LUs and 15 golfers. That is my usual target.

I think I will only take Wolff in Par 72s. He does his damage on par 5s.

Yea it’s very tree lined anyways, was kinda making a joke. I might have him in a few for salary saver, but he won’t be a popular play for me even in a reduced price range. Gotta think he makes a few doubles this week.

The way I do it is I go with 100% 1 golfer, and 1, 2, or 3 two-player cores depending on how frisky I am and how expensive the 100% guy is.

Not that this is who I am playing this week, but let’s say I settle on Hideki to win. I’d play 10, say, Hideki/Day, 10 Hideki/Sungjae, and then go from there. From there it gets complicated how I fill them all out. But that’s broadly how I start. So unlike someone who really knows what they’re doing like Superstars, my “core” is usually 3 or 4 golfers.

  • twinkie86

this is the first time I have done a 20 entry max only using 13 golfers and the last few were difficult as I used Rory 18 times and found it hard to get him in alll 20 lineups. The under 8k tournament mnanci13 has entered so play at your own risk have not seen him respond here on the forum so I assume he is a cheating skunk.

  • hautalak

I think I MME differently than Dunzor would want to. Honestly on a normal field week I would say I have about 35-40 players, but there are many of which I only include in one lineup. I would say my “core” is typically between 4-10 players ranging from ~ 25%-40%. I know there are times when I should “leverage” my ownership more on the chalky guys but I have FOMO.

With me playing this way, I usually cash less than 50% of my lineups (unless I just really nail “all” of my pool). At the same time my “highest” finish will at least break me even and I lot of times I profit due to one high finishing line.

I think it’s worth it to note on a no cut event it’s ok to have a little larger player pool IMO.

Appreciate everyone’s input. I think I will take a shot at the 20-max birdie this week since it is a very nice flat structure with 2x min cash so it feels like a good tryout week since I can’t screw up too bad with the no cut. I don’t love the no cut events in general but it does seem like a good time to start to wade into that MME pool

I think given the various inputs I’ll target that 15-20 golfer range for 20 lineups though I’ll see how it shakes out as I start narrowing the player pool.

  • hautalak

Yeah it’s all personal preference. I would say when it’s all said and done I have about 9-12 “main” (>20%) guys, 5-6 (10-15%) guys, and then the other 10 or so in 5-10% range.

I’m always surprised at how popular the Happy Meal is even in these no cut, no ST events, but I think we can safely move it back up to 100 people as soon as we have a normal event again (or maybe even sooner)

  • Money0227

I compiled a lu based solely on odds/DK salaries. It just so happens that my favorite two golfers are in there (Finau and Day). That’s going to be the extent of my research this week.

He’s cheaper than guys like Casey, Woodland, Scott, and Fleetwood who he was more expensive then as of last week even for a few.

I think he was definitely overpriced last week. I think he’s still a little overpriced this week. The field is definitely stronger.
