This is 1000% a reduced volume week. Total crapshoot, but should be fun to watch.

The pricing is really bad this tourney also…

so people are still playing – just not posting as much.

Same in NHL. We almost never get to two pages anymore.

I haven’t played much PGA DFS lately, but it’s weird sometimes how some guys can be decent on a season and then can’t make a cut the next one. Using DK numbers: Danny Lee 6/14, Kevin Tway 3/12, JB Holmes 4/10, Seamus Power 4/13, Chesson Hadley 6/14, Vaughn Taylor 6/18, Doc Redman 7/14, Beau Hossler 8/18, Brandt Snedeker 8/16, Graeme McDowell 5/15, Chez Reavie 7/16, Benny An 7/16, Henrik Stenson 4/15. A bunch of these guys were very legit not so long ago. Reavie even finished 8th in playoffs in 2019.

It’s tough for me to apply my usual spreadsheet process. But maybe that’s a good thing?

I’m probably not going 20 lineups…going to treat this like the WGC match play event, play light, and try to learn from it.
    ~

I’m leaning that way as well,….but with the salary constraints and likelihood of a low 6/6%. I may take some shots this week.

I was worried about a 100 person Happy Meal filling

As hard as it is to make a lineup that I am confident in this week, the Happy Meal points should be like a major week.

    Lively in here this week.

This tournament sucks. I’ll play one lineup a day for the achievements but otherwise it’s a bye week for me.

Anyway, I’m just here for the gifs.

but that format doesn’t really copy/paste neatly.

    Betfair copy-pastes like a charm.

    It’s a crapshoot every week.

I feel a bit clueless this week.

Is there any way to predict how well a pair will work together (beyond how they did here in previous years)? Why do the Euros seem to play together so well in the team Ryder cup formats?

I suppose it’s good to have birdie makers (for the best ball days), even more than so than it usually is?

Because some of the days are best ball, does that mean that one really good player can carry his below average partner? I’m assuming that’s how Brooks and Chase won here. Or maybe they just cohered well together.

Yikes!!! I see what all you guys are talking about now. Gonna have to get introduced to a lot of scrubs that might have never seen my lineups previously.

Ah man, Shameus Power WD. Zach Sucher replaces. So, if you like Sucher, just play Hearn.

    This is true.

I’ve been trying to win a $4,444 ticket but so far no luck.

congrats to cookiemonsterules (dgballer)….a seldom-poster who has been a faithful player takes home the money and points. The top 5 are the same, no movement but the middle had a bunch of guys climb the list.

I am curious, Discord is another place where people do what we do here. Does anyone check into that room? I dont. Hell I just tried logging in and had to change a password, Only to be totally confused on what to do. couldnt find any other chat rooms, didnt have any “friends”….why would I go thru discord?

I’ve seen it written two different ways in different articles but I believe T33 is correct now as the last time this was played it was T35 (because normal cut was T70 and ties back then).

The T33 reflect the new T65+ties cut more accurately

So there is a place on discord for golf….I just cant find it or access it….I am pretty stupid when it comes to new things (at least new to me).

    Well on to this week…
Not having any trouble with my player pool or LU’s.
got 2 spots as 100%, already 3 small cores with a total of 20 LU’s. Now what to do with my last build. Its big and what I consider all inclusive of my player pool. Its got way too many LU’s (with 5 spots filled 6 sets of 6 LU’s and each could be multiplied by 5 some 10).

I was hoping more research and stat comparisons might help me to make decisions. That only opened things up more. It did make me feel better about some of my player pool. Ahh the joys and fun of MME.
But I did the 86LU thing in minimax last week, and I want to go for some gold in higher priced contests. Choices will have to be made…..back to you later.

Player popularity bonus is interesting. I dont know if its good or bad, I want more info. OK so Tiger Rory Thomas Rahm Spieth get lots more money for doing nothing. What does Smiley Kaufman get? You know what I mean. guys that are social but not much in Fed ex points.

I cant help but think…Gambling is going to be the driving force for those not in the hunt for the Fed Ex Cup. I mean, who or why will someone be googling the top 125th person. If its not because of gambling (oops sorry DFS isnt gambling), I dont know who would be searching.

The struggle for me is determining how much emphasis to put on a “team.” If I like one guy here, should I be concerned that his teammate will hold them back, or just hope he can carry them well enough and get some luckbox help from his teammate?

this is what immediately struck me about this event. also, i am not familiar with which pairings are actual friends and ‘get along.’ then there are the hothead-types, or the ones who are quick to meltdown- add in that DK has aggressively priced the top end of the field and i have had a really tough time building so far..

  • Kingspark35

Slightly disappointing that it still shows t35 in the first look.

IMHO, and it has a lot of subjective thought to it.

In a team, you need to have both players. You cant count on 1 to carry both (although in golf you would think they can). I look at Cantplay and Reed in 2019 and someone screwed the pooch. Cantley now has X as a partner and Captain America is a no show. Reed rose to an occasion but he seems to be a bit of a waste in team play. Brooks tried to carry his brother…It didnt work and he was actually carried to a T22.

Friends, college teammates/alumni, any connections between golfers should be of note to all the PAID Prophets, because they are on the tour, follow the tour……but from what I have read so far….I think many are on Drugs 🤣

    Shows T33 now.

  • ifthethunder

Was a struggle for me just to make 10 lineups from my default. There’s a teams at each price level that I feel are too much $ or else just looking too feeble. So I have too many of what’s left at each level. Might just have to bite the bullet and accept the randomness of it all.

P.S. Speaking of carrying, can a Hoge carry a Hossler?
