+8 after day 1 and then WD?

Edit: I’m still mad at him for withdrawing before the tournament even started a few weeks ago.

But do you forfeit the money if you WD or do you get to keep it?
    30th place pays $395,000.
If you do get to keep it even if you WD, Then screw it, go ahead and WD if you shoot 80.

From pure guts, I’ll take a guess and say Brooks will be around 35% and JT around 5-10% in the $555 contest. Rory and Rahm should and will be around 35% too. Rose will hit 50%.

    Like I said, pure guts.

If that’s the case, I hope you jump on JT! I don’t really understand why he would be so low.

The problem is, projections say 20%. For ownership, I trust projections more than my guts.

I think he should be lower than 10% because I don’t think he’s a good play, but that would make him a good GPP play because of low ownership. I hope he’s 20%+. Would I ever play anyone at $15.5K? Nope. JT in a loaded field isn’t an exception.

I’m only playing one lineup anyway so I just picked the guys I like the best. I hope they’ll be low owned but I don’t think it will be the case.

I think another forum member was going to donate some prizes but I can’t find that information anymore.

Nice! I’m aiming for first but would be good with a top 3! Currently on the bubble.

This IS why Koepka will win

So Dustin has changed driver, Xander has made changes to his putter, DeChambeau goes back to the blade style putter he has used to win 5 times with on Tour and has also gone back to Cobra wedges

    Interesting find on golfdigest.com:

“Of the 18 standard stroke-play tournaments since the Masters, only three times has the first-round leader gone on to win (Brooks Koepka at the PGA Championship, Nate Lashley at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and Justin Thomas last week at the BMW Championship). In fact, there have been four times where the eventual winner of the tournament was six strokes back of the first-round lead, or more (Matthew Wolff was seven back, Kevin Na, C.T. Pan and Brooks Koepka at the FedEx St. Jude were six back). Keep in mind, this exercise looked at how far back the winner was after 18 holes. The Tour Championship will have a full 72 holes to play … so could someone like Hideki Matsuyama or Tony Finau, who are both seven back of Thomas, actually win? Using this season as a sample set of data, it suggests it’s a definite possibility.”

Yup, I’m with you as far as DK goes. They priced too aggressively and the advantages/disadvantages aren’t great enough to justify it. Fading the top guys, especially JT, seems to make a ton of sense.

I agree with this……but, What if JT goes off on Thursday. Is there a better wire to wire player on tour?
I had to have a few with him 2 out of 35.

If my couple of lineups are not in the hunt on Sunday, I sure hope then that we get to see a couple 8 footers on 18 that are $10M putts to decide 1st vs 2nd place !

That sure blows my 10-10-10 Nassau and $1 Skins games out of the water 😂

Why so low ? Because he is over $15K which kills your ability to build top-half heavy lineups and he is only starting with a 10 DK point lead over 2nd place with 72 holes left to play.

At his salary, unless JT finishes Top 4 in DK scoring (not counting Position points) he will not be on a winning lineup even he wins the tourney with the 30 position points.

To play JT, you have to believe he finishes Top 4 in real golf scoring over the 4 days – it’s possible but there are 29 guys trying to not let that happen.

Think you gotta ask yourself, the way this season has gone, does it make sense for Brooks to win? Has this been a predictable year or is it a year of surprises and changing of the guard?

  • Jenesaisblah

Touts are really touting up Kisner today and I haven’t seen much talk about him this week.

I’m not playing him (I would if I thought his ownership would be that low), but if you look at how his game fits this course (which is backed by his results) he is an overwhelming statistical favorite. He’s also peaking. I’m playing 2 lu’s (neither has him), but if I think for a second his ownership goes that low…I will go all in on him. I have a lu with him where I really like 5/6 in it. I would just need to cross my fingers with Chucky 3 Sticks.

Probably why Rory and Rahm are chalk (actually 2 and 3 behind Rose). I love Rose and I certainly can’t have the top 3 owned players in my lineup. Actually, if I subbed Rory and Rahm for JT and CHIII, that lineup would have 4 of the top 5 owned and 5 of the top 7. The 6th guy is middle of the pack. That isn’t pretty.
