Not saying he mails it in and shoots 75-80 each day but there is a big difference in attitude of a player in golf when he can sniff the lead versus when you have zero to play for except not finishing DFL.

If I knew he was going to make up a couple shots after Round 1 by dropping a 65-66 then I’d be 100% on him but if he shoots 70-71 and is even further back, it would be hard to back him on shooting three rounds in 60’s the next 3 days.

That’s for sure, but only Ancer is priced lower and starts ahead. Everyone in DJ’s price range starts at -3 or worse so the same logic applies to all of them. You can’t play many -4 or better guys except if you play Ancer, which I won’t. Last week, Niemann was DFL after round 1 and he could have finished top 10 if he played a good round 4.

I could play Scott, Woodland or Fleetwood instead, but I’ll have the same problem. I really hope DJ shoots a 63 to start like he did in the Northern Trust to at least give me some hope.

    2014 – only 29 players. someone didnt/couldn’t make it
2015 – Oosty WD, Furyk DNS
    2016 – Jason Day WD

They aren’t playing this year so that’s why I didn’t see them on the Google Doc. Thanks! Well it’s still not that many.

It must be a strange feeling knowing Brooks koepka already has 3 or 4 strokes on you.

Like every Friday at a Major? Ha-ha…

Any thoughts on Finau and Kokrak for the last two spots? I just can’t bring myself to play DJ this week else I would do DJ/Oosthuizen.

The Happy Meal, which has been filling right about now is sitting at 77/100. Lets get it filled

I hope Reed is +30% owned…as we can all see he hasn’t played well here and he was also in very good form coming in here in 2016 but shot 73-70-70-70 and came in 24th.
    Complete fade.

In LineupHQ, what should i set my max pOwned% to if im creating 40 lineups?

On my non-locked players my max % owned ended up being 65% owned and my min % owned was 25%, and the guys who ended up on 25% are currently projected to be above the field.

    If I’m understanding scoring right

With people bringing up Nascar earlier in this thread, I think treating this similar to a plate race at Daytona or Dega could and very well may be the best strategy. JT May start first and win but if he doesn’t collect birdies he isn’t going to outscore someone starting 26th and finishing 6th who shoots -9 for the week if JT is -2 I’m not sure going all 6 guys starting near the back will work because naturally the better golfers are out front so likely Thomas, Rory etc… May end up shooting -9 or better and be in the optimal but I would guess the winning lineup easily leaves $1500+ unless JT and another expensive guy score extremely well

    only five LU’s but leaving $2,600, $1,600, $1,500, $500 and $200

My under 8K has $9,800 left and Euro has $0 left lol

Gouveia was pretty far down my list. He made the cut last week so he is due to miss this week. He makes a cut then misses his next 3 then he’ll make a cut again.

Was too afraid to put him in the article but I like me some Adam Bland too. 8th overall on the Euro tour in Approach. He just sucks at putting.

I’m going to say the chances of a couple expensive guys scoring well are significantly better than a guy going from 26 to 6. I mean…I’ll be happy with a top 10 from Rose and he’s T16 going in.

There’s a major difference though. NASCAR DFS gives points for placement differential. PGA DFS doesn’t.

I think the best strategy is making your lineup as if there was no starting position. I’d never play anyone at $15.5K. It’s just absurd. I understand playing Koepka at $12.2K because that’s close to his usual price and he normally shows up in big occasions. Cantlay is constantly underpriced, but now he’s overpriced. There’s more flexibility though with guys starting at $5.0K instead of $6.0K.

No/Low ownership and due to make a cut. Good driver just needs the rest of his game to come around.

    Same here.

I’m only playing the $555 though. I’d play it differently if I was entering a top heavy 100K+ entrant contest. I’d leave a shitton of money on the table.
